This may seem like a stupid question but when we try to call USCIS to speak to a tier 2 at 8am, is that 8am Cali time? I'm in EST. Thank you!

If the security checks are pending does that mean that they might approve my case soon? I'm an August 16th filer

In the same Aug 16th boat as you... So disheartening to see later applications being approved before ours :(

Hi everyone, my first time posting. Just called Uscis and was told RFE was mailed out on Friday. Anyone know how to properly submit RFE so the process doesn't get delay further? Thanks in advance

If am not mistaken, the letter they send you will have a reply envelope attached-
Put your reply in that envelope and mail it back and it should get there no problem

We learned we have RFE after a call and speaking to a Tier 2. That is good news, we are just hoping it is something we can get through to them pretty fast. Have not received the physical request yet. !
I have not seen an RFE that might be soo difficult to comply with.
Have any of you received the physical request? Is there a thread with the most common causes?
TIA to all of you AND  CONGRATS to everyone approved!

Wonder what the ratio is between RFE issued to those who chose not use a lawyer vs those that did and got a RFE. I suspect most the people who got RFE's didn't use a immigration lawyer to file their petition.

We did not use the lawyer and did not got RFE.I think the most important fact is that you know what are you doing with the form, read everything correctly, go step by step, and you can do it without anyone helping you.The problem is that people do not follow instructions, forget stuff, and then complain about RFE.But, anyway, I think that bunch of RFEs are being sent out for the sake of quotas they have to do to certain countries...

Guys
As we continue to have approvals come in, I want to caution everyone-

We are all here for you and we wish everyone a speedy proceess
But PLEASE, be careful how you post on here. There are going to be people that are approved before you AND after you.
it really breaks my heart when there are those with August 2nd etc are waiting and someone from August 25th complains about why their application is not approved. Or someone from August 15th wondering why those after them are approved.
This is not a competition- we all deserve the right to be with those we love. And we all have the right to be upset as we have been waiting for months for the opportunity to be with our loved ones. But I beg you, be considerate of others on this forum.

We need to be supportive of those approved whether they are before or after us
And be considerate of those of us still waiting.

Thanks! And Happy NOA2 to us all :)

I couldn't have said that better.

I think this is why.. petitions received Friday (after they collect the mail) then all the petitions from Friday and Saturday and most likely Monday morning are picked up maybe Monday after the mail delivery or Tuesday morning, thus this is why Mondays have a large amount of petitions, so they tend to tackle the large piles before the smaller ones or tell 15 people to pull from Aug 7 stack , 15 people pull from Aug 14 stack and 15 people pull from aug 21 stack and so on, then maybe 4 people or less work on the other stacks. If you look at the charts naes has been posting you will notice dates on a Monday have the larger amount of petitions vs the other days of the week, this is probably why your seeing someone get NOA2 who has a receipt date of aug 21 before someone with receipt date of aug 11. this is my guess and probably is true somewhat.

Not necessarily the case with everyone getting and RFE. I understand it might be that people might pass by one of the requirements, and at times it needs more explanations in special cases. So saying that you get and RFE because you dont read is a bit radical. :-D

that's my point, had the ones that got an rfe and didn't use a lawyer did then maybe a lawyer would have looked carefully over it before submitting and spotted something wrong and then the client would have corrected it.
