Hello guys! We are august 21st filers and noa2 is february 22. I just want to ask if you have any idea how long will it take for me to have a visa? I want to know because i’m currently working and i need to serve one month if i will resign. I am from philippines by the way. I’m a long time silent reader here and im grateful for this forum, it helped me a lot to stay positive while waiting for noa2. Any response will be highly appreciated! Thank you! God bless us all!

We can't tell you. And believe me, we all have this problem. There's really no way to tell. Best advice I can give you is wait till you get your visa in hand and then resign. Yes, that takes a month longer for you to get to your love, but you will know for sure you won't quit too soon. 

 

I have a very good relationship with my boss. I already told him of my plans and he wholeheartedly supports me. When our NOA-2 comes in I will have a bit clearer idea of when I could be leaving. I intend to have him put out a job application at that point. That way we will have a few weeks overlap so I can work the new guy (or girl) in. 

 

Again, If it is important to you (financially) to keep your job up till the point you actually get on the plane I advice you not to quit your job till you have visa in hand.

Hey guys, I’m just wondering what’s going on with August 23rd? I just saw one approval until now... I hope there will be some silent noa2 and they kill it next week..

Same as August 25th. But who knows? Maybe you're right. Maybe those dates will be silent noa2s so no complaints here so far.

Tier 2 told me yesterday that they’re currently processing my Aug 25th petition. So fingers crossed we hear this week.
