I just called and they told me that my case is within normal processing time. I asked to be transferred to tier 2 like everyone says but the rep said they would tell me the same thing and to call next week if I have no update then.

Eisssshhh! Pesky Tier 1 reps. A tip I've been reading here is to be firm and demand them to transfer you to a Tier 2 officer or tell tier 1 that you have lost your WAC number so they should transfer you to Tier 2. Another tip I have read from MAY 2017 thread last year was a filer told tier 1 that the USCIS app shows that they're approved but the website says it is still received. Lol! Some tricks that work so they'll put you through and talk to tier 2.

lol those are some sneaky tricks I love it! I'm at work right now so I didn't really want to argue with the rep but I know she just gave me the run around.

Update of the graphs comparing June and July regarding the length of time from Received to Approved one month later (as to 02/22/2018), this time including August under the same conditions.

 

As a reminder, in the graphs below I try to compare what happened within the next 177 days after that last day of June, July and August 29th (last day with approvals) received cases.

 

In that time, with a total of 715, 357 and 582 approved cases (after removing some outliers) respectively:

 

• June had a global mean of 182.49 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.89 days.
• July had a global mean of 195.03 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 3.89 days.
• August had a global mean of 189.33 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 6.47 days.

 

As you guys can see, July (starting approvals at 185+ days) was significantly worse than June (160+ days), but in August (175+ days), we can clearly see the turning point for average processing times finally starting to go down again. This is looking much better than in previous months!

 

Please, note that ONLY updated approved cases were considered, and that the purpose of this graphs is just merely informative, not predictive.

I called twice yesterday and both times said no approval, and to call back as tier 2 were not taking calls at the moment.

I had the same exact experience when calling yesterday. Was told I was approved yesterday and that a letter would be mailed out yesterday or today. Really hoping it's true and that our cases are already in the mail!!

It’s the different months overlapping. So you can see how they conincide with the trends etc

So after 200 days, I had to call USCIS today and was able to talk to a Tier two person. They really don't want to transfer you but they did. 

He confirmed that we had been approved two days ago!! He said I should get a notification in the mail in a week.

I'm over the moon happy! And yes, I will be updating our timeline.)))

Does anyone else get a little twing of frustration whenever they see the word "received" during their daily life or is it just me lol? I've been eagerly checking my case status online and learning to hate that word lol. Oh well, sending good vibes to everyone for speedy approvals <3
