Hi everyone, 

Just got off with the phone with a tier 2 rep, asked about my case and she said that on Feb 20th they opened the case, but there has not been a decision made yet. Anyone ever hear of this? Fingers crossed it comes soon!

 

also @Naes thank you for your help last night, the rep told me not to stress the minor mistake because they will most likely go by the zip code!

Nothing like newbies without a clue telling old-timers what is right and wrong.  In their defense, they do not know all the personalities at play here.  We are all a little nutz....  Thing are really starting to rock at USCIS!!!  It is so good to see that.

Just called the USCIS this morning. Said no approval. Asked for a tier 2 for a call back.  Just off the phone with her, and an approval from yesterday morning!  She did say a letter has not been sent out yet but should any day now. August 3 filer. I called twice yesterday and both times said no approval, and to call back as tier 2 were not taking calls at the moment.

My fiancée called USCIS and was told to ring back in 30 days, so she has now requested a call back from tier 2. Guess we will have some more info (hopefully) in 45 minutes.

But they touched your case- that is a VERY good thing!

Any ideas what the RFE could be about? Because u can definitely gather the documents now and ship it right back

When I called this morning I was told call back in 45 days. But kept asking for a tier 2. Tier two told me I was approved yesterday.

Sweetheart, cheer up. At least they are touching your case. A lot of times these RFE's are something really stupid and easily fixable like they misplaced your birth certificate or something. Most of the time your case gets approved very quickly after responding to the RFE too. So keep your chin up love. You're well on your way!

If I had to guess from what I've seen from others - I have a DUI charge on my record from about 8 years ago and I assume I'll need to provide records of that. Does that sound correct? Will having a criminal record be problematic? It was a DUI when I was 18, and I completed the community service.

 

Is there a rough average of time it takes once they receive the missing documents to when they approve?
