As someone who is 8/7 and still case received, I don't like this either.

I take that "Explaining USCIS actions..." as in DENIED and they are explaining why it was denied.

it would help if we knew what the last 4 digits of the number for that particular case. Would ease a lot of 8/7 filers minds

I'm pretty sure there's no real way to tell if it's genuine or not.

They are just not going to give out other peoples wac number.

wac numbers are public by the way..

I put in a question to NVC, through their form, on how to change address. So I should hear from them whenever. I'll also try calling in a few more days. My NOA2 wasn't too long ago.

Thank you!

Hey yes! If you get good info from that let us know! That questions comes a lot!

Hey guys we finally got approved!!!

I called USCIS today, tier 1 told me the usual "my case is still pending". But I asked to be transferred and the ISO was able to confirm as of yesterday the 20th our case was approved. :D Website still says received though.

What did I say about never believe in a tier 1 :D

Is there any way you can know if you were approved without an online update/letter in the mail? Wondering if somehow that letter is lost in the mail, one would never know they were approved? Maybe only when the packet was sent to fiancée some time later or if you’re waiting for months then a USCIS tier 2 will give you the time of day.

Have any August filers had luck calling and getting info?

If that happens the mail goes back to uscis and they change status to "returned to uscis"

if it gets lost: I saw a case in May who learnt they got approved, NVC received and NVC case number in 1 day....

Wow, I thought that RFE were rare. But I see that they're becoming more and more frequent.

Naes, have you ever come across a person that got denied after sending in a RFE?

Also, do they send only one RFE? Or will they send it a second time if they are not satisfied with your first response to a RFE?

as @JoelThai said this administration is sending more rfes (it is confirmed by the data too)

and yes they send two rfes too. But I don't think they give anyone a 3rd chance...

I did see denied after rfe too.
