August 2017 I-129F Filers

I am sick to my stomach waiting for the mail...seriously want to vomit (sorry for the graphics but surely some of you can relate)!!! No updates on app, website, scan or anything online BUT I see the envelope in my informed delivery scan. I am so scared that it's an RFE but hoping and praying that it's an approval. I can't tell anything from the image and going crazy. I'm thinking about tracking down the mail lady in our small town to find my envelope hahaha!! Send me tons of hopes, prayers or happy thoughts and I'll be sending the same to ALL OF YOU!!!

I'm a september filer. i'm trying to figure out too how long it will take to get the interview. on VJ the posts are old and it is written 2 months at max. 

hope that it is not the case. if you have any information that you can share with me regarding that i will appreciate it.

Did it say page one of one?  If so, it's an NOA2.  I don't know if informed delivery is in color, but the NOA2 is very light green.  I think RFE is pink or something.  I hope it is green!

Geez! I so wish that I could see the page 1/1 in front. But still hoping for the best. I hope that it's your noa2 inside that envelop. Good luck, dear!

Oh my goodness...it's in black and white and I can't tell the page numbers yet!!! I'm stalking the mail lady...that's it!!

I unfortunately have heard so many different things that I don't know anymore. Hoping that maybe the other poster also from Italy will give us updates about their process.

What I will do is bring these plus have all that other stuff with us just in case they ask for it.  I bought one of those big double sided file organizer things to keep everything together and easy to show them whatever they ask us for.  I'm figuring that I can combine a visit with the interview and it will pay for the airfare because I will bring my allowed two suitcases with nothing in them but a couple of outfits and the gifts I bought for his family.  That way I can carry a lot of his things back in my suitcases and he can save on paying for extra baggage.  I want him to be able to have as many of his things from home with him as possible to make our apartment feel like a home.  The first thing we will do is move from my tiny apartment into a two bedroom.  I'm trying to get all of these documents together for the embassy now. I think he will postpone coming here for a month because it will be Ramadan.  No one wants to be a newlywed in Ramadan when you can't eat or drink during daylight hours.  And, I do not have an air-conditioned apartment.  I want to get married almost immediately so he will be covered on medical insurance and we can filed for AOS (and WORK PERMIT).  This means a big feast, CAKE, visiting with my family and having a lot of fun.  You really can't do that in Ramadan.  So, we will see how that plays out with the timeline.  Maybe I am taking everything for granted.  I hope all of us are accepted, God willing!  It's funny, you go from the stress of waiting to the beneficiary really feeling like reality hitting and then having all the doubts and fears and realizing the responsibility they will have.  Especially if they are men and do not want to take support from a woman.  I hope all of us can enjoy a normal relationship soon.  Maybe that takes a year after the beneficiary arrives?  It seems to always be something, but you hang on because you know that this is the person you really want to be with no matter what.

Oh, that's awesome if you already researched about the requirements for Egypt embassy. At least you already have an idea on which documents he'll bring with him in his interview. But I suggest that you will still check your packet 3 just to make sure that you have all that are needed. 

 

Yes! I love your plan and everything you wanna do. This is how exactly I would do if I am  the petitioner. Your guy is lucky to have you. I hope that everything will be okay for everyone of us. 

 

P.S - Ramadan will start early this year (May 15, 2018 to be exact) so I hope that your plans will be done before it'll start. I am excited for you, woohooo!

Hello, guys ! We are August 22 petitioners and my fiance just received this letter that got us confused.At first we thought it is an RFE but it doesn't look like it.It does not provide any information about our case except, what it looks like, general information about the process.

 

Our case online currently stands at ''Date of birth was updated'' and that was two weeks ago.Has anyone of you received this type of a letter ?

6 months up to 1 year or more that depends on TB strain.  Also, at the beginning and end of treatment there is sputum test that takes additional 6 to 8 weeks.  So if the treatment is going to be one year then you are talking about 16 months total to get over this hump.  If your country is allowed to do TB blood test then it takes only 3-4 days to get solid results.

I believe they still rely on X-Rays in the Philippines.  Thanks for the info.
