Just curious, is there a list of medical issues that would get someone denied?

In the Philippines TB is a biggie.  Not necessarily denied but delayed during treatment.  I believe it is a 6 month treatment if they see spots on the lungs.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

Hi! My fiancè is also Shqiptar and residing in Italy. We're going through the Naples consulate. Wouldn't make sense to go through Tirana. But you do have to figure out all the police certificates and birth certificates that need to be gather in Albania--stressing out about those already since most of the info is in shqip and my fiancè doesn't want to worry about it now. I'm a control freak so I'm already worrying about it.

Hi @lilit829 this is awesome

I feel better now

Would be complicated going and do everything in Albania

actually I already asked my dad to gather everything that I need from there

vaccinatons police certification and birth certificate

Hopefully we get an answer soon

Hello revered Augustines,

I'm a July filer but just lurking here as the number of people waiting for approvals in July is rapidly dwindling.  I have to lurk here now and than I'll follow @Naes to September so I can see her approval lol.

I hope you are all getting lots of approvals.  I can confirm that they aren't updating the app.  I was approved in January but mine still says "Received".  I never got that thrilling phone buzz to say that I was on to the next step.

Remember to get your stuff in order for the next stage after approval.  Once you get your NOA2 things can go really fast!!  Last thing you want is to slow things down even further by not having your information ready.

Sorry if you already answered this, but I received my NOA2 and want to do everything as soon as possible. What information will I need ready exactly? I just want to have one leg up on this process :D

yaaay congrats!

was it a silent approval or did the app show an approval too? or the website?

It was a silent approval! Still no update on the website or app...SO ALWAYS CHECK YOUR MAIL! :) :) :)

Unless you're sponsoring yourself you don't need it.

One requirement upon interview is the updated intent to marry, so we have to change dates that we have send before? Together with 129-f?

Is that a requirement there?  It isn't everywhere.  It seems like many embassies make their own rules.

Bank statement of your petitioner

I don't need this, do I?  I have more than enough income, but not any substantial money in the bank.  I was under the impression that the bank statement was for people who did not have sufficient income but wanted to use savings or assets to be considered for eligibility.  I have my tax return for 2017, three prior years of transcripts and W-2s, as many current pay-check stubs as they want and the employment letter.  I can give them the bank statement, but all that will show is that money comes and goes out of my account every month.  I don't have a bank-roll.

I really appreciate that.  Honestly, we really are lucky to have each other.  We hate the wait but we do not take it out on each other. We really are good.  When she is weak, I am strong.  When I am weak, she is strong.  The wait sucks but we will just wait it out.

I know that some other couples are having a more difficult time than we are.  We always keep our eye on the prize.  Yes, the dates are pushing back but the end will be the same.

Yes! Although if you've been living in Italy since 2007 and have gone to the doctor (I imagine) he probably has your vaccination records--right? We're planning on him going to the doctor a bit later to get all the vaccinations needed, that we he won't have to pay. I know there are three documents and we plan to get them in August (we're January filers) while we're in Tirana. One of them has to be sent directly to the Naples consulate which is a bit worrying to me. My fiance says birth certificate is pretty simple--I've heard from people that your birth certificate doesn't need to be dated after a certain date but I'm not sure. Mi fiance says it can't be older than a year? Also we need to get translations done for the Albanian documents (preferably in English since we will need this for AOS as well) and police certificates from Italy. We both have to do the same things so keep in touch please!

As far as I know just like the W2s and ITR, the bank statement of the petitioner is one of the requirements stated in the packet 3 that your beneficiary must bring on the day of his interview but they won't necessarily will use it as a basis that you can support your beneficiary when he's already in the U.S. They would still rely on your projected annual income and employment certificate and pay stubs. I have read a filer got approved with only $400 in his bank statement. The most important thing they'll look at is if your current pay could support him and not to become a public charge during his 90 days K1 period. But you must remember to complete the documents needed for his interview to avoid getting a 221g. Some consul won't even look at the bank statement but better be prepared and ready.
