I forgot to check the mail yesterday and couldn't believe what I found this morning.. an approval in hand; despite the website and app still both showing no update since the NOA1.

NOA1 - August 2nd.

NOA2 - February 13th (received in the mail today, 2/19/2018).

Stay strong everyone; even if it feels like stalemate just waiting..

Congrats!!!

Thanks.... Aug 22 filer here... have you obtained  your NVC # yet???

Unfortunately, no. NVC is closed for the day, as it's a government holiday. My fiance is in town for a week, though, so I can't complain too much.

I know it feels like this is the longest wait of your entire life. It will pass. I promise.

Hey guys! I have a couple question regarding the income requirements for sponsorship.

For those income requirements, do they look at Gross income, AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) or net income?  We're over the requirement...however I've read that the final decision regarding sponsorship is in the hands of the Embassy so even if you're over...they may still say no if they have some kind of financial concern.

Would it be beneficial to include a "projected income" sheet to show that the income is expected to increase?  Or would that not matter?

Thanks for your thoughts!

They want exactly what they listed. If your salary is going to increase at some point this year, you can ask your employee to list that in your letter. Your tax return will be sufficient in showing them what they need (regarding gross/AGI).

If I am wrong, someone please correct me.

Hi everyone! Congratulations to those who got approved! ❤️

Question: How long will it take for NVC to receive our packet from USCIS? I've read on some people in facebook that they already have a case number from NVC but their status are still showing "at NVC" even after 27days of them having the case number. I really do hope this will not be another slowdown on the NVC part. 🙏🏻 I'm from the Philippines, and I can't wait to see be with my love already. ❤️

Hello!

There's a link in my signature to a spreadsheet that most people have filled out (on Visa Journey anyway). That will help give you an idea of how long people are waiting.

So I think you are asking two things here:
1) Case going from USCIS to NVC really depends. The wait seems to have come down in the recent times to about 8-15 days on average. But there are some people still waiting at like 45 days.
2) From the time NVC assigns you a case, which is when it says on the case tracker "At NVC" to the time that goes to the respective embassy "Ready" depends- because it's all embassy specific at that point.

Hope that answers ur question!
