Hi. I am a december filer (beneficiary). Your lawyer has to request the court to get court disposition. Each court disposition costs extra fee which should be covered by yourself. Our lawyer requested those court dispositions a month ago and the court still did not provide with it. So you better hurry as i have no idea what is the timeframe for providing USCIS with the evidences when you get RFE. Not sure if it was helpful at least i shared my experience. Thanks.

Also, I forgot to ask ... after I send back what was requested to the USCIS .. do I just wait or can I call them? What number would I call?

In another group they’re saying RFE’s can take months not weeks.. I hope that’s not true :(

Just adding;

timeframe for rfe normally is 84 days, if it's different it should be written on the rfe.

After you send they will change your status to "rfe received" and usually it takes 1 week to a month after that depending on the case (the longest it takes is 60 days but it rarely happens in k1)

Okay thank you!

Hello,

It was last year when NVC had the 4-6 weeks time frame of receiving cases from USCIS to issuing case numbers. But, good news because this year it seems like they're already back to their normal processing time of 1-3 weeks. I have seen a lot of filers who got their case numbers after 7-8 days even. After NVC assigned the case number for you, they'll forward your papers to your respective USEM and expect a 2-3 weeks waiting period. You can follow up your case by calling or sending an email to your chosen embassy in the beneficiary's country when your NVC case status say it's 'READY'.

Packet Sent: August 23, 2017

NOA1 Received Date: August 25, 2017

NOA1 Notice Date: August 29, 2017

NOA2: March 1, 2018 (by calling Tier 2)

NOA 2 Notice Date: March 2, 2018 (according to the new USCIS website)

NOA2 Hard Copy: March 6, 2018

NVC Received: March 16, 2018

NVC Case Number Assigned: March 23, 2018

In Transit: March 23, 2018

So this means that the 1-3 weeks (if lucky enough 7-8 days) is from the time of approval from USCIS am I correct? The NOA2 will be coming from USCIS or NVC? If USCIS,  then will NVC will send another notice to the petitioner or the beneficiary will then receive only a letter from the US embassy already?

We were approved recently February 15, 2018 so Approximately the 1-3 weeks is already included with the forwarding to the US Embassy? Or 1-3 weeks is solely NVC only then separate time frame for NVC to US Embassy? Please enlighten us.

Thank you so much hopefully earlier than May we could be reunited.

Sorry for the follow up question, do we need to creat account through NVC or same account to maintain in the USCIS?

so that we would know the status

No accounts needed for any of these.

nvc will possibly give the case number 1-3 weeks. They will send a mail or you can call to ask.

after that it will be send to embassy.

the rest depends on how fast your embassy works.

What to do after NOA2 Approval? How to contact NVCClick here for info - https://goo.gl/KggThF

How to talk to a live person at USCIS? https://goo.gl/54z5bZ

If you cannot get NVC on the phone try this - https://secureforms.travel.state.gov/ask-nvc.php

1. So this means that the 1-3 weeks (if lucky enough 7-8 days) is from the time of approval from USCIS am I correct? - YES. This is the time frame from NOA2 until the issuance of a case number according to recent events.  You may contact NVC after 7-8 days from NOA2  to follow up your case. If they received your case, you can ask them if they assigned a case number for you.

2. The NOA2 will be coming from USCIS or NVC? - NOA2 hard copy will be sent by USCIS to the petitioner (U.S citizen)

3. If USCIS,  then will NVC will send another notice to the petitioner or the beneficiary will then receive only a letter from the US embassy already? - I really did not get this question, I am sorry but I will try to answer.  I suggest that you don't wait for the letter or notification from NVC because God knows if they'll send one to the petitioner. Call NVC 7-8 days after your NOA2 for a faster result. ^_^

We were approved recently February 15, 2018 so Approximately the 1-3 weeks is already included with the forwarding to the US Embassy? - NO. The 1-3 weeks time frame means USCIS forwarding your case to NVC until assigning a case number for you. Once case number is given, you can track your case from NVC to USEM via NVC case tracker by putting your NVC case number here----- https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

Or 1-3 weeks is solely NVC only then separate time frame for NVC to US Embassy? YES. seprate time frame for NVC to USEM in the beneficiary's embassy of choice.

 Please enlighten us.

Thank you so much hopefully earlier than May we could be reunited.

God Bless Us All

@Naes please add some more info if I missed anything. Thank you, baby girl!

Thats the word! disposition... lol thank you! court certified disposition.. just to clarify for @Mszitai .. i used the wrong term but I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thing.. must be different between different states but I was able to just show up and grab mine real quick, no fees or anything. Try asking your lawyer. even though they didn't tell you or think of it at the time they would probably know the process for this type of thing within your state

Thank You so much for giving me these information. So let me just recap based on what I understood from your reply.

1. USCIS. Will be the one sending the NOA2 and once got it 7-8 days call NVC to follow up if there is any case number assign to that application, am I correct? And from there we can track the case number througj NVC tracker which you gave hyperlinked above. My question also is Do we need to creat account for that or just keyed the case number then it will just show up the updates?

And once US Embassy received it within 2-3 weeks so US embassy will notify beneficiary what to do next right?

So in this event will undergo Medical Examination with corresponding Fee and also pay the DS 160, any idea how much is it now and is there any fee aside from these 2? Because I am confused with the USCIS web stating fees for Visa which I know before you can have interview schedule, must pay online or designated banks then can proceed with it am I correct?

Thank you so much

And once US Embassy received it within 2-3 weeks so US embassy will notify beneficiary what to do next right? - YES. USEM will send packet 3 to the beneficiary via email. The packet 3 contains the needed papers to be brought on interview day. Your petitioner must secure these papers before your interview date and he should send them to you.

So in this event will undergo Medical Examination with corresponding Fee and also pay the DS 160, any idea how much is it now and is there any fee aside from these 2? EMBASSY FEE = $265 / MEDICAL FEE= varies per country.

Because I am confused with the USCIS web stating fees for Visa which I know before you can have interview schedule, must pay online or designated banks then can proceed with it am I correct?  Mode of payment for embassy fee varies per country, too. I suggest you inquire on your embassy on it's specific protocol regarding payment method.

Thank you so much

Yeah that is why i highlighted that i just shared my own experience. And of course his or her case can be different. And yes i hate our lawyer lmao 😂 i have to control and remind her each time and to chase all the time even if i am here in Kazakhstan. And We have 13 hours difference. Sometimes it seems to me that the lawyer wants to ruin everything :) Brandon and I have strange situation. On the one hand i work here in one of the american banks which is a big plus for us and on the other hand he has some arrest records. Which is a big minus :)

thank you  🌷I will ask Brandon to find out more

Thank you so much. So US embassy will send EMAIL not post mail? Sorry because I heard from others it's post mail. Anyway you are such a big help thank you

It depends on the embassy, I guess. Here in the UAE, they will send an email to the beneficiary. You are most welcome.
