No, after what he said to me .. I don't think that I'm sure about him. But what about the love that I have for him? What about my feelings towards him? I really feel that he is confused and he has been very lonely lately because of my work and stuff. We haven't had lot of time to talk over the phone . And he is working 9 hours a day and I work for 9 hours as well. I think he's lost or I'm just giving him excuses right because I don't want to believe the truth ?

That's possible, unfortunately it happens and I would only wish for you to have a happy life after all this you go through. Because if it will make you sad after going to another country and get married and change your life for someone, it wouldn't worth it.

i would suggest give it time while you're waiting for this approval and think, and see what this time and approval will bring to you and him.

sometimes things taking time is for the best.

Ahh thank you! You’re so helpful. And all the updates you do seriously. I always wanted to write on here and thank you for everything you do!

Okay so the lawyer did do the right thing by putting the arrest on.. so they just messed up by not getting court records ... I’m still mad at them. But glad it wasn’t totally messed up.

Yes I have the letter from USCIS , it’s like a blue/turquoise color and says request for more evidence and has a white page staples that detailed says they need court records from me..

I don’t even know where to obtain juvenile records?

So you only need to get the records and send them.

Don't worry then.

Now about getting court records, I do not have information. But I do think you can make a google search "visa journey k1 juvenile records" it usually is fruitful, and would be faster to get good answers. Another way I would suggest is to create a topic and someone who went through the same thing would help you.

@Naes

sorry I don’t know how to reply with the whole text box you wrote previously. Anyways thanks for your reply, I truly appreciate it.

I was just nervous to do the k1 myself as I didn’t want to mess anything up. But now that after paying SO much money for our lawyer that brought my fiancé and I into struggle mode, we did have a mess up.. I’m so upset!

Our RFE was because my lawyer put I was arrested in my juvenile years. And I remember asking him are you sure we have to put that? I was under 18. Anyways it’s asking for proof from court that it was juvenile.

Im so annoyed and upset. I literally can not do anything until Tuesday....

May I ask how much did you pay to the lawyer? I 'm just curious...

Congrats to everyone! It was amazing catching up in this thread and reading all of the approvals. I am August 22 so if I have not gotten an RFE as of now does that mean I'm in the clear? I'm so nervous because I did everything myself. Thank you!

No you're not in the clear.

Doing yourself is not a reason for RFE, as you can see from the example above with a lawyer... or so many people who used Rapid Visa or such..

Anyone can get an rfe..

Hey Naes,

I meant people are usually more prone to mistakes when they do the applications themselves but I'm still hopeful I did everything right. Thanks for replying!

Well yes but also paying thousands doesn't help either :D

Don't worry you will deal with it when it comes, it is not always as bad as people think.

I have a record from some years ago (not juvenile) that I sent docs with my petition in order to be very clear that this was all a done deal and taken care of and nothing more than what I stated in the petition... my lawyer said "it might be a good idea to send a "court certified decision order"  but i don't think it is necessary but it might save you from a possible rfe" seeing your post makes me glad i put it in there ( but who knows i still may get an rfe for God knows what)

anyways.. just wanted to share with you what i did to get those records.. might be different for juvenile but it was easier than i thought...

I went to the courthouse where my case was handled, asked the security guard where to get a "court certified decision order", stood in line and requested the documents (actually have two separate incidents.. smh) they pulled up both my cases, certified it and gave it to me without requesting any kind of payment... i was prepared to pay something ridiculous lol but i literally only paid for parking and it took me a total of about 20 minutes!

hope this helps! Best of luck and congrats on movement!! :)

Sure, but no judgements... $3,000.00 .. 1,000 down and monthly payments of $300.
It was the most reasonable because there were some law firms who were asking for 4-5k and wanted it all at once.

There were others who also charged 3k but wanted it all at once.

Yeah like @naes said... doing it yourself, rapid visa, lawyer etc. whatever .. nothing guarantees you're "in the clear".

But spending thousands or hundreds and still getting an RFE is disappointing because you paid for them to make sure there were no mistakes.

But doing it yourself can also be stressful.

So my thoughts to you is just, wait it out! Your time is coming! August did work super fast.. I got my rfe dated valentines day it just came in the mail today.

In the end, we'll go to extremes to be with our loved ones :)

Thanks for sharing! Well I have to wait until tuesday, I'm assuming monday things will be closed since it's presidents day?
My scenario might be different. I didn't even go to court. I asked my lawyer like 100 times if we had to put it. I was arrested and held in the juvenile holding cell thing - I wasn't even in the whole orange juvenile deal.. Only in the holding area for a few hours.. So thats why I was unsure but my lawyer should've told me what yours told you! Agh so mad.

Also, I forgot to ask ... after I send back what was requested to the USCIS .. do I just wait or can I call them? What number would I call?

In another group they’re saying RFE’s can take months not weeks.. I hope that’s not true :(

After you send they will change your status to "rfe received" and usually it takes 1 week to a month after that depending on the case (the longest it takes is 60 days but it rarely happens in k1)

Hi. I am a december filer (beneficiary). Your lawyer has to request the court to get court disposition. Each court disposition costs extra fee which should be covered by yourself. Our lawyer requested those court dispositions a month ago and the court still did not provide with it. So you better hurry as i have no idea what is the timeframe for providing USCIS with the evidences when you get RFE. Not sure if it was helpful at least i shared my experience. Thanks.
