It is always easy to say things than doing it.  I'm a little depressed now and confused at the same time . We have been together for 2 years and half and its very hard for me to just walk away like that. He is 23 yrs old and I'm 26 years old and I think he's being immature and acting like a child now

Everyone here is doing it.

however yes I do think he is acting immature. So the question is are you sure about him. Not him being sure about you.

I'm really sorry. I don't want to sound insensitive. Marriage is a serious commitment. I hope things work out for you. Follow your heart

If my case is denied, I am ready to lawyer up and fight for it.But This is very personal matter, which I prefer not to say more.Hope it will work out the best for you.

With k1 you cannot say or do anything if it gets denied it doesn't have the road to that.

however at the same time to get denied at this stage would also be weird unless you didn't satisfy the obvious requirements.

are you single, have you met, one of you is us citizen, and don't have an weird criminal record. That's pretty much it.

I think if someone writes it out here on a public forum answering with what you have in mind without being rude is not being insensitive....

True, we shouldn't get denied, however these creepy thoughts could scare me sometimes, you know makes us wonder, what if, what if ..hopefully it will go smoothly for all of us.

Hi everyone...

I’ve been a long time lurker, but I really needed some sort of support and reassurance so now I’m posting. Our NOA1 was August 7th and we received a RFE in the mail today February 17th. Obviously I’m heartbroken and upset and angry. We hired a lawyer to make sure we wouldn’t get to this...

Anyway, has anyone had experience with an RFE? Does this push us back to the end of the line again? What happens after this.. unfortunately it’s a weekend and Monday is Presidents’ Day so my hands are tied until Tuesday...

Thanks in advance and I don’t mean to sound needy o know there’s those before and after me who haven’t received news yet. But congrats to those who have.

Congrats to everyone finally getting approvals! Good things are happening! 😍🎉

How about RFEs? Has anyone gotten one? If so, what for? Anything that surprised you?

I personally am worried about my places of residence over the past 5 years. Lots of changes, lots of traveling, living abroad etc. Some places semi-permanent, others that I didn't list because I never even knew the address. In the gaps I always listed my parents address, which has always been my mailing address (more reliable). Anybody have the same issue?

Sorry to hear that, after paying a lawyer and everything. It will be okay. What did you get an rfe for?

Lawyers dealing with k1 are usually a problem... never seen anything good come from that.

however apart from that as I said on my post above yours. They give rfe a lot and usually not important but maybe asking for a letter of intent or extra evidence.

rfe is nothing to be upset about as now you know they touched your case. It does not push you end of the line.

you will get it in a week or so, then after you reply and they receive it, it will most likely resolve in less than a month (the longest uscis says is 60 days but usually resolves before that)

go through your petition and what you have sent, and try to guess what can be missing.

Were there any cases that got denied because couple were in a homosexual relationship?

NO, not because of having a same sex relationship. Other reason maybe.

i know a lot got approvals and even visas on hand. That can never be a question.

@Naes

sorry I don’t know how to reply with the whole text box you wrote previously. Anyways thanks for your reply, I truly appreciate it.

I was just nervous to do the k1 myself as I didn’t want to mess anything up. But now that after paying SO much money for our lawyer that brought my fiancé and I into struggle mode, we did have a mess up.. I’m so upset!

Our RFE was because my lawyer put I was arrested in my juvenile years. And I remember asking him are you sure we have to put that? I was under 18. Anyways it’s asking for proof from court that it was juvenile.

Im so annoyed and upset. I literally can not do anything until Tuesday....

Ok actually you did right if you had an arrest and wasn't sure about it. The age doesn't matter, you do need to put info there so don't worry about that.

If you already know the RFE, then just get your court records (I don't know why your lawyer didn't make you do this before...)

Did you get the letter from USCIS?

*on how to quote someone: there is a little writing under each moment that says "Quote" when you click that it adds it to your text but it is not important. if you have direct questions to me you can always tag my name like you did. Or even just ask out there I'll answer if someone didn't already.

No, after what he said to me .. I don't think that I'm sure about him. But what about the love that I have for him? What about my feelings towards him? I really feel that he is confused and he has been very lonely lately because of my work and stuff. We haven't had lot of time to talk over the phone . And he is working 9 hours a day and I work for 9 hours as well. I think he's lost or I'm just giving him excuses right because I don't want to believe the truth ?

Ahh thank you! You’re so helpful. And all the updates you do seriously. I always wanted to write on here and thank you for everything you do!

Okay so the lawyer did do the right thing by putting the arrest on.. so they just messed up by not getting court records ... I’m still mad at them. But glad it wasn’t totally messed up.

Yes I have the letter from USCIS , it’s like a blue/turquoise color and says request for more evidence and has a white page staples that detailed says they need court records from me..

I don’t even know where to obtain juvenile records?
