Hi Jacqueline!! I'm from cuba but I live in Texas,  my fiance is from cuba too, and I'm waiting for the NOA2! Do you speak Spanish? Good luck for you!

Hi @Kirenia! I was just in Dallas for a wedding a couple weeks ago! :) My Spanish is decent, but could be much better...I am going to start classes soon while I find ways to pass the time.  Where are you from in Cuba and where does your fiance live?  I'm going to spend Christmas there with my fiance...only 86 days to go.  I wish you the best of luck in this process!

Question its important  to mention the name of the site you first meet on?  Because we just put that we met online

That's all we had put as well, so I hope it won't be an issue. We'd met in an online chat room about 12 years ago though, not sure if they will RFE us for that. I hope not.

You might get an RFE for that. Apparently not only do they want you to list which website but include the terms of service. I read that some people get lucky. I put that I met my fiance on Thaicupid.com but I'm ready to sent the TOS in case I get an RFE

Never even thought to add what chat room we met in as it was so long ago. I hope they understand that.

@geowrian

I see you around everywhere, so if I may ask, have you seen anyone that met online a very long time ago have issues?

Sorry all for the lateness to the topic. I find if I'm on VJ too much I get frustrated and sad with the wait.

Well, depends what you mean by "issues". People in all circumstances have had issues. :P If you're referring to getting an RFE, it really depends on the evidence provided and the adjudicating officer's (limited) understanding of the circumstances. I think you will probably be fine...IMBs aren't known to match people up 12 years ago and wait this long. haha No guarantees (ever), but my spidey sense isn't tingling.

Ha! True, issues could mean a lot. Yeah I meant in regards to an RFE. Here's hoping that they don't focus on that part. I remember the details easy enough, as does my fiance, but I'd rather not have an RFE to delay us further.

Thanks for the info :)

Hey did you see the news?The embassy in Havana will lose roughly 60 percent of its U.S. staff, and will stop processing visas in Cuba indefinitely, American officials told the AP.

Your English is way better than my Spanish! I wish I was going in October, but I just don't have enough vacation time work. I know you will have a wonderful time!!

@forke looks like the dates are pushed back to two more weeks :(:cry2::clock:

No biggie it looks like dates go float up and down. God is good and I pray for a quick work for all of us. I too am an Aug filer waiting on NOA2 and I know patience is the key in which is something I never had much of. This experience here will definitely teach me to have patience lol
