 Hello!!

We got our NOA1 August 17!

Looking forward to our NOA2 , hoping for december!

Good luck to everyone!!

Hi, Are you the beneficiary or the petitioner? I'm Brazilian, haha! I'm also really hoping for December, but most likely we'll only hear from them in January. Oh well, nothing wrong with hoping, right?

@forke looks like the dates are pushed back to two more weeks :(:cry2::clock:

Oh no! :(
It does look like there are more approvals every day though, I hope it'll go back to beginning of January like it was at first. :)

For any of you that received RFE'S. Just curious as to when you track it on the USCIS website, did it tell you that a Request for Additional Information had been mailed to you prior to receiving the hard copy? Still haven't received our hard copy although the text read as follows: You case was received and Receipt# is listed . Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Received that text message on Aug 31 and still to date have not received letter in mail.

I don't think anyone from August has received an RFE yet, but from what I've read in other threads, you should be able to see it online before the hard copy arrives.

As for your NOA1 hard copy, when you check your case status it should tell you the date by which you're supposed to receive it, and what number to call if it doesn't. I hope this helps and good luck! :)

Yes it does say it was received on Aug 29 and text was sent to me on Aug 31 and it says if I dont receive hard copy by Sept 28th to call the number. Just worried because it seems as if most people got their hard copy very quickly within 7 days or say. Thank you so much for answering my question. Good Luck to you and praying for God to do a quick work for all of us!

There are many tools out there that you can follow your status through this entire process. What you will find is most are only "estimates" because the tools or people cannot tell you with any certainty when you will receive this or that. The best recommendation I can give you is just go about your daily life and let the process grind through. At this point there is nothing anyone can do to "speed" things up. If you would like something that is easy to use and will alert you to any "movement" on your case get the phone app. The links are below in my signature. Install it, add your information and forget it till it rings. You will have less grey hair, a wider smile and a happier life but if you choose to cause angst in your life by checking websites every 5 minutes then of course that is your choice. Just know that this is a slow process and what anyone else "gets" before you or after you is because each case is unique and certain items are required and or requested by USCIS to render a verdict on your application/I-129F.

This would be a good time to gather your documents (be careful of time sensitive documents - USEM in the Philippines requires that the NBI and CENMAR not be older than 6 months at time of interview) and carefully look over your documents to ensure they are accurate especially the Birth Certificate. Also, if you have lived outside your country for more than 6 months then you are most likely required to get a Police Certificate from that country. Some can take as much as 2-3 months to get (Japan is one) so starting now can save you headaches down the road. Check this website to determine what is needed if you have lived in a foreign country more than 6 months: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/fees/reciprocity-by-country.html

This is another good tool https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do and yet another tool https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved/contact/CEAC_FAQs.html

Visit your sub-forum for your country here on VJ (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/100-regional-discussion/) and get to know the experts there and visit your Embassy's website and search for required documents.

I wish everyone smooth sailing.

First of all thank you for all the information you have shared with your post.

I would like to add one thing about preparation of Police Certificates. If you do not have the Interview Invitation Letter consulars are not assisting you as per their websites states. Also, my country consular said that requirement for Police Certificate is applied for whose lived more then a year. But, one of the countries' embassy website shows as six months. So, there is a conflict which I will look into.

Just wanted to say hi 👋🏻 to everyone, we got NOA1 on Aug 7 so we’re in the same waiting period as you all. When I first updated our timeline it estimated we’d get a decision before Xmas which would be amazing but it’s getting pushed further and further back and may not be til the new year now - hard not to let it be disheartening but I know we will all get our decisions in time.

Hope you are all enjoying your Sunday, wherever in the world you are 😊

I'm a June filer whose original estimate was September 6.  It is at November 2 now and I expect it to drop back further.  I anticipate between a 5 and 6 month wait for NOA2.

Hello new friends!

So excited to have found this forum! Nobody else understands what I'm going through during the process so I'm very happy to meet you all. My name is Jacqueline and I met my fiancé, Osmany, in Cuba earlier this year at a friend's wedding. Went back a couple months ago to make sure that love at first sight is a thing...I'm here to tell you it is! He proposed on the beach in Guanabo on July 4th.

My timeline so far:

Aug 11: shipped paperwork via UPS to Texas

Aug 15: received notification it was delivered

Aug 18: received email and text message from USCIS with receipt number

Aug 25: received NOA1 in the mail (woohoo!)

So now I wait for the NOA2...keeping myself as busy as possible. Anyone else have a fiancé in Cuba? Praying that this process is swift and smooth for everyone! And I'd be down for an Atlanta meet up...saw the Atlanta Fish Market in an earlier thread...yum!!

Hi Jacqueline!! I'm from cuba but I live in Texas,  my fiance is from cuba too, and I'm waiting for the NOA2! Do you speak Spanish? Good luck for you!
