Hi guys! I hope we'll get our approvals soon! ❤️

Quick question though, if ever a consul during your interview asks you if you have plans to work in the US, what is the appropriate/right answer? I've read somewhere in facebook that the answer should be NO, coz there have been people who have been denied when they answered YES. I am a nurse by profession, and I do have plans working after I took the NCLEX there. So should I say NO too? Thank you in advance. 😊

Hello! I haven't heard that this question was asked much, as it is probably expected that any capable adult who could work, would lol. But if it was asked I don't see why it would be a problem to say yes, once you're authorized to do so (either with EAD or after green card). Just explain that you are planning on becoming a nurse after you are able to work and pass the exam. On another note, I passed my NCLEX this past August and will start my first RN job next week :D Go nurses!! Good luck!!

I think the number for NVC comes after the NOA2 letter. But my NOA2 letter is in the mail today, so I will soon find out.

I agree.  They certainly don't want people who will come here and sit around and maybe become a "public charge."  You're right that it's a good idea to state that you will not work until authorized to do so, but they will want to know what you plan to do with your time--study or work.  I am thinking that if you say that you have a high tech career or a career in Wall Street, they might think you used the fiancée to come here to get a job where you can make lots of money.  But, I think the average person comes here and takes whatever job they can get at first until they figure out which of their credentials carry over from their country and what types of jobs are in the area they move to.  I know that my fiancé will be happy to be just helping me with the bills once he gets a job and to be less bored.  The only real goal in coming here was marriage and family.

I requested mine today.  I love my job.  I'm excited to have that in there as part of my package.  Even if they don't care.  I also wrote my new Letter of Intent to Marry.  I wrote my own about me/us.  It was not long or anything.  My fiancé said that we should use the "regular" one that came from RapidVisa. I don't believe in doing everything so generically.  They got that the first time.  They need to know my commitment has not only remained, it has deepened.  How can they make judgments about people if everyone sends the exact same form with the exact same words.  They are looking at a couple and judging the relationship and if it is ongoing and bonafide.  Submitting the same form over again but changing the date doesn't convince me much, but it is textbook adequate.  I think it must help if the consular sees you as human beings and not papers.
