yes the cosponsor has to be living at the same address from what I read on the form instructions. I could be wrong. I disagree with that it should be allowed "family exception" to that rule

Spoke to rapidvisa and they said that "anyone can be a co sponsor as long as they're willing to help & that the household number poverty line includes themself and anyone claimed as a dependant or anyone theyre sponsoring. it does not matter if your fiance will be living with them" so in my case my father could sponsor my fiance and would only need to exceed the poverty line for a household of 2.

that's why I said I could be wrong because I almost went that route when I did the k1 the first time and my dad was going to be the cosponsor and was allowed and I wasn't living with them. Good to know for others seeking a co-sponsor.

I do think it counts as 4 (if father is married) then the household would be 2 including them two and 2 for you and the fiancé bringing the total to 4? is this correct?

The household number includes the sponsor theirself and then anyone on their taxes as a dependent. Since I have a job, I’m not a dependent for either parent’s taxes. And my father is single not married (parents are not together) and my father does not claim anyone on taxes, so including my fiancé, his household number would be 2.

I'm starting to see a trend with USCIS , if you look at every 7 days on that chart the received cases are higher than the other days

7th - 289

14th- 276

21st- 318

28th- 253

wonder why every 7 days its high over 200+, same went for July and June, didn't check may but wonder if this is due to only checking the lockbox once a week.

Also those of you worried about hard to adjust (especially the peeps from Europe) have it a lot easier than say someone from Vietnam or Thailand or even the Phils, people from Asian countries have it the hardest, total different culture. Europeans are more modern than say most Asian countries.

I looked at the data surrounding my case number and suspect that they are lumping cases together in batches on the receive date. One date seems to be dedicated to I-130 while another date block seems to be related to I-129 - it "feels like" they are assigning batch receive dates based on the day of the week. For instance, anything that came in Mon-Wed get's a Friday date and anything that comes in Thurs-Fri get's the next Monday date. I haven't analyzed the data, not an expert or heavy in the forums but work with data for a living and that's my instinct without looking into it further (have enough to do and there's already a data guru managing the forum!!!) ;)

Hi everybody!

My fiancée and I are filing the Visa K1. Our case was received on August 24th, so we are getting close to Noa2! I am planning on going to the USA for a couple months with my fiancée in February with my Waiver Visa that is valid. Have you ever travelled while pending your K1 approval or have you heard about any experiences from other filers? I get very nervous about being turned back at the border even though our lawyer said it would be no problem at all if I explained that I was visiting with my fiancée to meet her family awaiting my interview at the French American embassy in Paris.

Thank you so much in advance,

Have a good day/night everyone!

I have flown to the US twice on the ESTA program with no issue at all. I was never asked about anything so I said nothing and treated it just like it was a vacation.

I'm Aug 24 filer too... regarding your trip to USA, I personally wouldn't take the risk... at least that is what I said to my fiancee.... they are alreadystarting to  touch the petitions of people who filed in August 2017....

I overlooked the fact they are Aug filers, I would most certainly not travel anywhere outside the country (the beneficiary) at this time for any reason especially if your an August filer! playing with fire you will get burnt.
