Im with the same doubts! For what I saw is tax returns, a document from the back with amount of money that he has and a letter of the employer (what he works on, when he started working there and this kind of things. Is really that?

Plus Im curious to know when to ask him to sent that, since  want to get everything ready to finish this process as soon as it arrives at my embassy. I saw somewhere that it doesn't need to be original on this that it can all be scanned and sent by email from him to me.

What you guys think??

I've downloaded the I-134 form and it comes with the instructions on how to fill it up. I saw that there's a list for evidence to submit together with the form. I just want to know if all of those are necessary? like for instance the letter form the company and pay check stubs as we can submit the tax return? also how many years of tax return should my fiance need to provide.

Hi MK2017 I've read that the form has to have your fiance's original signature

Applied for AOS/EAD/AP : August 7, 2018 (via USPS)

USCIS Chicago received the package: August 9, 2018

This can vary by Embassy, as some countries ask for some specific supporting documents. However, the common thing is showing paystubs and the letter of employer, because those prove the current work situation and income, while taxes refer to the previous year (though these are always required, usually to show stable income), and you could even be unemployed right now.

The general advice is to gather your taxes and W2's (or tax transcripts) for the last 3 years, though this is also Embassy specific. Mine requires only one year's taxes (I'm still taking 3 years with me to the interview).

Hi MK2017 I've read that the form has to have your fiance's original signature

The I-134 isn't legally binding or have strict requirements. It is only a tool to help the CO make a determination about the underlying public charge concern. So COs at some embassies are more strict about it, while others may not even ask for it (i.e. USEM very rarely does). Either way, you should provide as much income evidence as you can - employer letter, paystubs, etc. Tax returns are commonly requested as well. Many COs go by the 100% federal poverty level here, while COs at some embassies go by the I-864's 125% level. Some embassies allow a co sponsor, some do so only on a case by case basis, and some don't.

Once you get to the I-864 for AOS, the rules are much more defined: 125% of the poverty level, joint sponsors allowed, 3 most recent years of tax returns files and at least the most recent tax return to be presented, etc. And it's legally binding.

Hahahahahahaha Im glad that time is passing fast, but I'll be the happier person ever in december when the NOA2 get in, lol !!!

I'm already going crazy anxious around all this process and patience is not one of my strong virtudes.

While I'm checking the USCIS constantly and the VJ all the time,  my fiancé is super chill and he is like,,, "don't worry! when you less expect it we will get the notification"

One thing that I would like to check with you guys, our case status at still shows the same message since August 8 when we got the NOA1, that they received it and so forth. Does anyone here get a different message?

I used to think I was patient. :) I added that both for irony purposes and as a reminder of what I need to be throughout this process. My fiance is a lot more patient than me.

From what I gather, that status will show for the next three months, until there is an RFE or an NOA2. If someone believes otherwise, please inform us.

I had to stop checking USCIS constantly. It wasn't helping my mental health. :)

ughhh i wish the USCIS was more precise within the updates, they show that they are currently processing Feb/2017 applicants but there is people from april that already got the NOA2

But at least is a good info that u provide because i was worried that was something wrong going on!!! I gonna try to control myself and only check once a week hahahaha

I just wish I had more insight into the delays.

Questions such as, is the backlog expected to continue? For how long? Will conditions return to about the same as last year when I-129F petitioners were receiving their NOA2 after ONE MONTH? Will the DHS budget be approved? If so, how many USCIS visa processors will be hired? How long does it take to train them and get caught up with the backlog? Is the emergency Haiti visa issue still causing the backlog or is this mostly due to the surge in H1-B petitions before the suspension of premium processing? Is this just the regular summer slow down?

Maybe I shouldn't think about it, but having answers provides peace of mind, right?
