Of course, I agree, online filing just increases one's chances of getting a fast interview date, this fact has all been well established and confirmed, but I think it creates unfairness though, but yes, a good number of online filers are lucky, and that does not make it fair either. I have to wait about 5 more months, if I applied on line, there is a good chance that I may have been naturalized 2 months ago. I wish I had applied on line, and even if I did and got approved quickly, my heart would have still gone out to the paper filers because I would have been so grateful and I have empathy toward others, it is nice to be supportive of each other here and not just take things for granted, but it is what it is, fairness is not always implemented in our immigration system.

Great. I have it now online - interview on 14th Jan. I'm assuming that online printout is good enough. I have changed my address and updated the new mailing address in Nov. Hope they send the hard copy to the new address.

Not upset at all, I have been waiting for so long, another 5 or 6 months is not going to kill me. There is obviously nothing we can do.

You have gone through the process and got naturalized, your 400 interview was scheduled 60 percent faster than many normal paper filers who even filed early than you, but I agree, it is what it is, but that does not make it fair. Had I known, I would have applied on line as well.

Interesting point. So I filed in December by paper and then my application was transferred to online and I received an IOE receipt number and code to create online account. Is this something they started recently?

That is interesting, they transferred to online processing? I had never heard that until you told me, maybe they try to fix the backlog problems by transferring some paper filing to on line mode or something. Have you gotten your in line for interview notice yet?

Fortunately (or unfortunately), I've been pretty busy at work so waiting hasn't been too painful for the last 3 months (plus the holidays)!  

 

So I guess I'm not too upset that I'm a paper applicant (at least until my work contract ends in mid April)!
