Fingerprints are good for 15 months so they do not need u to do them again.

I emailed USCIS through ELIS Inbox asking about my case status and got the following response today. I think this is the standard response for people who are "In-line for Interview"? I've been in-line for interview since August 31, 2017 - so I'm guessing the wait continues..

Yep, standard response for in line.  I asked two different questions by using the ELIS inbox, but got the same response as yours. They appear not to answer your specific question but just to tell you about current case status.

Yup, the messaging system is pretty much worthless. I sent a message the day after my status changed to "view the interview letter on your documents tab" asking why there was no PDF posted. Their reply was "we see that your interview was scheduled, you can see the letter on your documents tab." Thanks guys, that's so helpful.

But I did not see the update in my online account.

N-400 Timeline (San Francisco field office / 5 Years Work GC filing after 12+ years on GC):

08/27/2017 (day 00): N-400 application was filed online on ELIS

08/28/2017 (day 01): ELIS case status was changed to "We received your application"; Receipt notice letter PDF was posted on ELIS; 

09/01/2017 (day 05): ELIS case status was changed to "We scheduled your biometrics appointment"; 

09/06/2017 (day 10): Biometrics appointment letter PDF was posted on ELIS; Biometrics appointment was scheduled for 9/20/2017 

09/07/2017 (day 11): Early walk-in biometrics was completed; ELIS showed "Biometrics Completed On Sept 07, 2017"; took a printout and walked-in. No need to wait for the mail. 

09/08/2017 (day 12): ELIS case status was changed to "We reviewed your biometrics"

09/13/2017 (day 17): ELIS case status was changed to "USCIS has Scheduled Interview, will mail appointment letter"

 

Waiting  

Any ideas? Do you think I should add a tax document or something.

My case status was updated  to ‘Interview was Scheduled’ as of yesterday-10/18/2017. Still waiting for the PDF to be uploaded. Expecting to get that sometime today/tomorrow. I will report back when i get the interview date so my timeline can be updated accordingly.
