We were also asked for recent photos since it had been a year since our application. She originally asked to see my phone photos, but I had brought a printout of a few photos from the last year and that was fine and went into their file.

Also, be sure they do your I751 at the same time or at the very least the N400 officer is well aware, that the I751 file is there, and that it's in the queue to be scheduled for an interview. Like us, I've been hearing a few others say the officer wasn't scheduled/wasn't able to do their I751 interviews at the same time but then there seems to be a glitch getting those scheduled after the fact.

Photos? :wow: Did you submit stronger evidence such as joint apartment lease, joint property ownership, joint bank account statement, etc.? :reading:

Yes, this was for the I751 interview with the two of us and she wanted to see recent photos. She had all our paperwork and evidence like the bank accounts and mortgage and earlier photos, but the officer wanted to confirm an ongoing relationship. It had been 2 years since those documents had been sent in. I happened to have some recent ones printed that were acceptable, so she didn't need to see my phone in the end. Probably best to bring a few recent ones along. They might not ask and we may have passed the I751 without it, but better safe than sorry.

Finally painting myself red after sorting out USCIS oath fiasco. Originally I asked for judicial ceremony due to name change but later in September I decided to withdraw name change request to put an end to incessant waiting. On 09/20/2018, I submitted letter to USCIS via infopass under 8 CFR 337.8(f); 8 CFR 337.3(a)(c) to put me in next available administrative oath ceremony. It worked like charm and I became US citizen in exactly two weeks!

Finally done with this! Here's the rundown for Seattle filers:

Interview was scheduled for 12:55.
Showed up at 12:40.
- Don't show up too early, someone had an interview at 1:30 and they told them to come back in 20 min.
- The only parking available is $7 cash only.
Made it to the interview/oath ceremony room at 12:50.
Had my number called out at 2:40 (I was J150, the number called out when I first got in was J114)
The "test" part of the interview took maybe 5 min, the rest of it was confirming all the details of the application under oath. I was out at 2:55 or so.
- I'm a single filer, no kids, etc. so didn't have anything to create complications.
- Interviewer only asked for my ID, Green Card, current/previous passports, Selective Service registration, and list of trips abroad since I applied.
Oath scheduled for 10:30 am tomorrow.

An oath ceremony started next to the waiting room at 2:30 and it was over when I came out of the interview at 3:00, so at least this part doesn't seem to take too long.

Has anyone else seen this?

Naturalization completed in January, she has a passport, everything is fine. But every 2 weeks or so we get an email from USCIS saying “still processing your application and we’ll notify you when there are any changes”.

It’s almost as if someone forgot to hit the “case completed” button?

The "test" part of the interview took maybe 5 min, the rest of it was confirming all the details of the application under oath. I was out at 2:55 or so.

I'm a single filer, no kids, etc. so didn't have anything to create complications.

Interviewer only asked for my ID, Green Card, current/previous passports, Selective Service registration, and list of trips abroad since I applied.

Oath scheduled for 10:30 am tomorrow.

An oath ceremony started next to the waiting room at 2:30 and it was over when I came out of the interview at 3:00, so at least this part doesn't seem to take too long.

I asked when's the first time I can attend it, and he said tomorrow at 10:30! I'm assuming he'd have let me attend it immediately had my interview finished earlier.

I'm having my interview at 2:15pm next Monday so there no way I can have the same-day oath ceremony either. :bonk:

It sounds like I'll be going back to the Seattle office the next day (Tuesday) for my oath ceremony! :reading:

Just don't be surprised if USCIS don't ask for your spouse for I-751 interview. I had combo interview without needing my wife in interview room.

Make sure you take your last year tax return transcript as I was specifically asked for it.

Forgot to update the intermediate steps, but scheduled to take the oath this Thursday. Wasn't a hard process, just long, so excited to be almost there, and just in time for the elections (for reference, I was a paper filer, wishing to have filed online). Okay, we're going to apply again after the first n-400 denial. But!!!!!!

there's something on the uscis website that says they'll completely reject your application if you pay for the biometrics screening when it's not required.

How can one know if it's required or not? She did her original biometrics appointment in September 2017

Also, last time we used our original marriage certificate (in Spanish) and no one said it was a problem. There's something on the uscis website that says this document needs to have a certified English translation. Is that true or do they make an exception for Spanish or something?

It definitely didn't cause a problem with our first n-400 application, which is good because we cannot get an official translation of the document either.

You were right! My IO didn't interview my spouse (who was waiting outside)! :wow: :wow: :wow:

My IO asked me to show her our joint condo ownership certificate since I told her that we bought a condo 1.5 years ago. :thumbs:

I also showed her our 2017 joint tax return transcript. :joy:

I'm having my oath ceremony tomorrow afternoon! :dance: Any info and/or advice would be appreciated! :reading:
