Yes, I did go! It was a wonderful experience. Very friendly! all the way from the security at the entrance to the officer that took my interview. Didn't have to wait long cause my interview was the first one of the day.

Very typical really... read a line in English then was told to write down a line in English and then was asked 6 civic questions which I got right. After that, we went through the N400 form and that's it. Approved on the spot, was even told the day the oath ceremony most likely would take place, but I am still waiting for the letter.

I had brought tons of documents but they were not interested. No need for the 2 passport size photos either unless you are changing your name.

Last step and I am almost done. Good luck to everyone else! It was a good experience  :)

Thanks for sharing. That sounded as such a nice experience. Congrats again.

i feel so frustrated as my PD IS 09/18/17 and still wait for my interview.

Did you apply based on 3 year rule?

Is there any specific questions they ask for filing under 3 year base?

I applied under the three years rule but as I described above,  no extra questions at all! :) They have all our documents and can check up on them. If they have some issues they would have asked me to clarify but there was nothing to ask except the basic interview.  Don't be too worried I am sure it would go smoothly.

The only thing I can think of is that I'm a long haul truck driver, my job has me constantly traveling thousands of miles through different places in the USA, and they don't like the fact that my wife lives on the road in the truck with me. Our physical address that appears on our drivers licenses is that of a commercial mail receiving agency in South Dakota that provides a legitimate legal residence for people who constantly travel.

The interviewer asked me a lot of questions about my job and our address, but these would be stupid reasons to deny my wife the citizenship she's worked so hard for. If that's the reason, I'm not sure there's much we can do. We've been living together in the truck for a year now - spending every hour of every day together. I even showed the interviewer the passenger authorization forms my company fills out for insurance purposes, which shows our names, and that she's authorized to travel with me. Will probably have to wait until Monday or Tuesday for the letter, then have my mailbox service scan it to me.

I'll probably start a separate thread when we get the letter. Whatever it is they're being nitpicky about something, so I might have to hire an attorney. Not sure if an attorney would have any more power than ourselves in this situation though.

We finally got the reason today.

Here's the reason:

 ev

September 25th: I-130 Emergency petition filed at US Embassy in Lima.

October 3rd: I-130 Petition Approved.

October 10th: Consular Section sent checklist and notification scheduling my spouse's visa interview for November 13th.

oh man, so your gut instinct was right about the whole traveling about being the issue. Well being a resident for 3 months is sorta on top of the list of requirements, so don't waste your time on appeals...

Why couldn't they just deny it at the beginning instead of dragging it for a good whole year  :(

Best of luck for whatever you decide to do, just think it through...

This latest report confirms the reason why it is taking forever for USCIS to process your application. It is political, and there is nothing much we you can do until Trump gets voted out or impeached which is going to be an uphill battle. Good luck to you guys. Politics do matter and elections do have consequences.

It seems that way unfortunately. I have warned people here about the new "751 at field offices" processing time. It now says if your 751 ends up at a field office(obviously being combined with 400), the normal processing time is 2 to close to 4 years. That is obviously to discourage people to apply for 400 whole 751 is pending, but if you just wait for 751 without applying for 400, it is taking forever too. It is a lose lose as a result of the Trump's anti immigration policies. It is a nightmare. I am sorry.

I hope I can vote in 2020 if I can't vote in 2017 (assuming that the application timeline doesn't keep getting longer)!  :bonk:

I'm awaiting a callback from a Tier 2 officer right now, so am hoping to have more info soon, but whenever we speak with customer service phone line they keep telling us that the I751 is a separate case and will be adjudicated at whatever speed is happening at NVC Missouri. I feel like that can't be correct because my husband has already had his N400 interview and they didn't end up adjudicating the 751 there but my understanding is that their policy is the adjudicate them together or for the interviewer to conduct the N400 interview and then at least request the I751 from the other office. I'm trying to get clarity as to whether this is still their policy. Plus, pretty much everyone else here who had both pending had their I751 interview at the point of the N400. I think we are extremely unlucky.

If the Tier 2 person today and the person at our infopass on July 11 echo the same thing the customer service line is telling us, and I751s that have been transferred recently to NVC are in for a long wait, maybe another year or more, I think we're going to have to drop out of the process. Makes me very sad because we were SO close. Trying not to give up hope yet, but it's hard to see this in a positive light.
