I was apprehensive since I did not receive the previous oath letter and they said I failed to attend. I checked my mail box last night and the oath is rescheduled for tomorrow! So excited. Good luck to all of us :)

06/04/14: Finally marriage license was recorded & we got a copy

06/05/14: AOS package mailed via Fed Ex overnight to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

06/06/14: (Day 00) Confirmation of delivery & receipt date recorded by USCIS

06/11/14: (Day 05) NOA 1 Hard copy of receipt received

06/13/14: (Day 07) Form I-797C received, Biometrics appointment scheduled for July 8

07/01/14: RFE for co-sponsor salary and tax info, which was already sent with original package. Resent a copy on 07/08/14.

07/08/14: (Day 32) Biometrics appt.

08/10/14: (Day 65) Noticed that USCIS status has changed from Initial Review to Testing & Interview!

08/21/14: (Day 76) Received EAD/AP in the mail!

09/25/14: (Day 111) Email notice with interview date set for OCT. 29!

Nice.  Good luck.  I just got 8 texts :lol: to let me know my case status has changed, that my oath ceremony has been scheduled.  Just got to wait for the NOA to come in the mail for date/time/location.

Interview passed!

 

 I don't understand some of these people that get their Oath ceremony invitation right after the interview for an oath the same week.

 

Was told to wait for the letter in the mail and the ceremony would be "about 4 weeks after that."

 

Maybe it has something to do with the size of the field office?

September 25th: I-130 Emergency petition filed at US Embassy in Lima.

October 3rd: I-130 Petition Approved.

October 10th: Consular Section sent checklist and notification scheduling my spouse's visa interview for November 13th.

I think it depends a lot on the field office and also where you live.  For me, there are I think 2-3 ceremonies a month at I think it was a couple of court houses and a school.  Plus every July 4th there's a oath ceremony at Monticello.  So it just depends on those locations, how many people they hold and how many people are already scheduled.

 

At my interview the interviewer was checking where I lived and the various places - I didn't ask him to check this, just something he was doing - he said he wasn't sure in my case, but I guess if there was something showing as available he may have given me an invitation then and there.  My interview was April 12th, in line for oath ceremony scheduling was May 1st and May 16th oath scheduled for I'm guessing next month but hoping for July 4th.

I went inside the guy's office and he asked me to raise my hand and repeat an oath after him then he asked me to sit down and he started right away with the Civic questions . All the questions were easy and straight forward , he asked me the following questions :- 

1- in case the president and the vice president were unable to rule who is gonna take their place ? 

2- we elect senates for how many years ? 

3-what's the name of the national anthem of the US ?

4-what is the declaration of Independence ? 

5-name one war fought by the US in the 18s ? 

and honestly I don't remember the 6th question now !:rolleyes: but I answered all the questions at once and quickly . then He handed me a paper with a sentence on it and asked me to read it . It says (( Columbus day is a national holiday )) and then asked me to write a sentence and it was  (( Columbus day is in October )) ! 

He congratulated me then for passing the English and the civic test and he started to review my application with me . He asked me about my wife's Birth certificate and her passport ! he also asked about the Taxes and selective service  paper so be prepared to bring them  . And that was all what he asked about ! he literally reviewed everything in 15 minutes before starting to print two papers asking me to sign it and told me I will recommend you for naturalization :jest:   yaaaaaahoooooooooo ! 

 

That was my full experience today April 20th in Washington Dc/Fairfax office .

I wish everyone luck with his/her application and hope you have your interviews and oaths as soon as possible !

There seems to be a lot of movement on August filings across the country, so I'm hoping everyone who is still waiting will be hearing very soon! Hang in there!:)

05/14: We were married!!

06/04/14: Finally marriage license was recorded & we got a copy

06/05/14: AOS package mailed via Fed Ex overnight to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

06/06/14: (Day 00) Confirmation of delivery & receipt date recorded by USCIS

06/11/14: (Day 05) NOA 1 Hard copy of receipt received

06/13/14: (Day 07) Form I-797C received, Biometrics appointment scheduled for July 8

07/01/14: RFE for co-sponsor salary and tax info, which was already sent with original package. Resent a copy on 07/08/14.

07/08/14: (Day 32) Biometrics appt.

08/10/14: (Day 65) Noticed that USCIS status has changed from Initial Review to Testing & Interview!

08/21/14: (Day 76) Received EAD/AP in the mail!

09/25/14: (Day 111) Email notice with interview date set for OCT. 29!

10/29/14: (Day 145) Interview day - APPROVED!!!

09/21/16: Mailed in I-751 Removal of Conditions

10/14/16: Biometrics appointment

8/8/17: Mailed N-400 Naturalization Application

8/15/17: USCIS texted that they've received N-400

9/8/17: Scheduled for biometrics 

10/11/17: In Line to be Scheduled for N-400 Interview
6/23/18: N400 Interview (recommended for approval pending I751)

8/1/18: I751 Interview - approved

I just hope the wait for the oath ceremony is shorter than the wait for the citizenship interview was.

 

Also, the wait for the passport... I've heard passport fees went up recently too.
