I don't know. I wish we could find out now, even if it was a later interview date. This whole "3 weeks ahead of time" thing is hard to plan around. Assuming processing times means time to oath ceremony, 11 months would likely be a June interview or 14.5 months is October.

Ok Guys here is my Interview experience ! 

 

Today my was my interview at Fairfax/Washington DC  USCIS office . my interview was so early today  ( 7:15 am ) !! but I felt lucky because I did not have to cancel my appointments today  ! . 

so I went so early and I DO encourage everyone with an interview  to reach USCIS about 45-30 mins before his time ! . First there are very limited parking spots and  you will be finding so many people ahead of you checking in for their appointments ! so you don't wanna be late ! 

Anyways back to the interview I reached the location , parked my car and went inside the building before 7 am and it was so smooth , went to the 2nd floor where all interviews take place and checked in easily and waited for about 10 mins before a man came in and called my name .

My application was based on a 3 years rule  so I took my wife with me just in case they need her ! but they did not at the end  . They actually told her to wait outside !

I went inside the guy's office and he asked me to raise my hand and repeat an oath after him then he asked me to sit down and he started right away with the Civic questions . All the questions were easy and straight forward , he asked me the following questions :- 

1- in case the president and the vice president were unable to rule who is gonna take their place ? 

2- we elect senates for how many years ? 

3-what's the name of the national anthem of the US ?

4-what is the declaration of Independence ? 

5-name one war fought by the US in the 18s ? 

and honestly I don't remember the 6th question now ! but I answered all the questions at once and quickly . then He handed me a paper with a sentence on it and asked me to read it . It says (( Columbus day is a national holiday )) and then asked me to write a sentence and it was  (( Columbus day is in October )) ! 

He congratulated me then for passing the English and the civic test and he started to review my application with me . He asked me about my wife's Birth certificate and her passport ! he also asked about the Taxes and selective service  paper so be prepared to bring them  . And that was all what he asked about ! he literally reviewed everything in 15 minutes before starting to print two papers asking me to sign it and told me I will recommend you for naturalization    yaaaaaahoooooooooo ! 

 

That was my full experience today April 20th in Washington Dc/Fairfax office .

I wish everyone luck with his/her application and hope you have your interviews and oaths as soon as possible !

I added your timeline to Socal N-400 forum. Three Los Angeles July (2017) filers received their interview dates recently. Keep your fingers crossed.

So uh, I received a notification on April 6 for my oath ceremony. I haven't received any letter and i called last week and like they said, call after May 6. Today, I got an email saying I missed my oath and they will send me instructions and I'm like #######.

Hey Guys, I have not been in here in a while..so here is a brief update. I did my N-400 interview  on 12/08/17 which i passed but a decision could not be made because i had a pending I-751 and my husband was not able to make it to the interview (although on the letter that was mail with the interview date had no where on it stating that your spouse has to be there). However, they had to scheduled an interview for my I-751 which was 3/29/18. The officer told me on the spot that she will be approving my case. Yesterday i got an update saying i am in line for my Oath Ceremony.

I became a citizen yesterday at USCIS Charlotte, NC in a very nice Oath ceremony.

Now, it is time to start applying for passport and update SSN in 10 business days.

Sorry guys, been so busy and have not posted here, so much has happened since my 400 interview. My 400 interview was on the 26th of March. I also had my 751 pending, my husband was critical ill and could not attend the possible 751 interview, so knowing that, I put up a packet of medical evidence and dr's letters to request an "expedited oath ceremony" which I was legally allowed to do so, I took it to the interview, my argument was based on humanitarian ground in a special circumstance based on the USCIS adjudication manual saying that if my husband and I were able to get married before DOMA and anti gay marriage and prop 8 in CA(Defense of Marriage Act which prevented LGBT people from getting federal benefits), we would have been able to get married a long time ago(been with my late husband for 21 years). I was trying to use that packet to see if I could get both approved and be sworn in at the interview so I could fulfill my husband's last wish to see me become a citizen, the packet was also created to attempt to have them waived the possible requirement of calling in my husband for 751 interview due to his serious illnesses. The officer was somehow sympathetic, but it did not work out like I was hoping to, he took my request, but a decision could not be made, he said he would talk to his supervisor because my husband wasn't there for 751 and they might reschedule the interview, so I stayed calm and told him my husband was dying basically, he said he understood it and I repeatedly stressed the urgency of it, I passed the interview, but 3 days later after the interview, my husband passed and my attempt did not work out, but I really tried, a month later, I got my 751 approved last Thursday which was my husband's first birthday after he passed, we celebrated, he would have been 90 years old, I believe it was a birthday gift from my husband in heaven, it would have been too much of a coincidence. He is watching over me for sure. However, according to 319(a) in INA. I am supposed to lose my eligibility, it says if a 400 applicant's American spouse dies before and or after the filing of 400, the applicant will lose his eligibility, so I have been expecting that, but I got a notification saying my oath has been mailed and scheduled, so I contacted the lawyer, she told me everyone 400 applicant will fill out form 445, and I will have to answer one of the questions on the form and check "widowed", then they will and should reject my eligibility before the oath unless USCIS did approve me and overrode the law, if that is the case, I need that in writing for self protection because there are doing a lot of de naturalizing these days, and I wouldn't want to be at risk of that. If I lose my eligibility as expected. I will re apply for 400 next August based on 5 year green card rule. I just need to make sure USCIS didn't make a mistake by approving my oath ceremony by making an info pass because I am supposed to have lost my eligibility, but at least my 751 is approved and my green card is on it's way. Good luck, my circumstances are unfortunately rare and complicated. Good luck to you all. Oh wow, @Zombie69 that's a lot to deal with when you've just lost your husband. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Glad that your I-751 was approved at least and you don't need to worry too much about residency issues even if you should need to wait until 5 years. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for your support and condolences. I expect to lose my eligibility at the oath ceremony unless there is a miracle, but I won't count on that, my lawyer told me if by miracle they naturalize me anyway, I have to make sure I got a copy of my signed and stamped 445 form , that will serve as the evidence that I will have answered everything correctly under oath, it is for self protection just in case if USCIS decides it was my fault that they naturalized me. My lawyer told me Trump admin is aggressively denaturalizing naturalized citizens these days, but I don't think I have to worry about it because I think they will reject my eligibility at the oath ceremony on May 23rd. I am just thrilled and excited that I am going to get my green card soon, I will just re apply for 400 next August. My husband unfortunately passed away 3 days after the interview, so I guess applying for 400 based on marriage is just not meant to be, it is sad and frustrating, but what can I do? Law is law, I just need to stay strong and alert and just re apply next August. I am sure my husband is smiling from heaven now knowing I have been deemed to be a full fledged permanent resident as my 751 was approved on his very first birthday last week since he passed. That was my birthday president from him in heaven for sure. Anyway, good luck to you too.
