Hi Zombie69,

I am sorry to hear that your husband is in critical condition. I understand your frustration, your interview was for N400, I would think that it should be added to the I751. However, if it won't I hope they will understand the situation and help with expedite solicitation. Did you bring evidence of that IRS payment? Or, at least he mentioned how to send it promptly?

Good vibes for you and Stan.

RRM

Thanks for your good wish, he said twice that he would just forget about the 236 dollars since the amount is insignificant, he said if the worse comes to worse, I just need to submit the proof of payment. I hope I will hear from them soon, so grueling that I have to worry about my man's health and survival and deal with the immigration at the same time. We will see, I did the best I could.

Wow Zombie69, I am so sorry to hear about your husband's condition. I hope you get an answer soon and won't have to stress about anything immigration anymore!

Thanks for your support, I hope I hear from them very soon too. So many got approved without a 751 interview, and I had to try hard to prove my husband is in no condition to do the interview, I hope what I did help a bit, I can not think of what more I could have done to prove that. Hope better days are coming.

Thank you, I hope so too. As far as I know, many applicants got their decisions pretty quickly after a major interview like this, I hope it will happen to me.

The interview went ok, I passed the tests, but officer said he is in charge of 400 only, he has to talk to his supervisor about my husband's tough situation(My husband has been in the hospital in and out for almost a month he is on feeding tube and the recovery is unclear), he said they have to approve 751 first, I submitted the request to expedite the oath ceremony, and I had additional evidence for 751 with me, he said he did not need anymore evidence since we had submitted enough of it. I showed the evidence of Stan's medical condition and dr's letters and explained the urgency of expediting the oath ceremony based on humanitarian ground(Stan's last wish to see me become a citizen), he said he would talk to the supervisor tomorrow. One more thing is that there is an IRS bill of 236 dollars, he told me I might need proof of that we paid(we did), and then he said he would just forget about it, he said just wait, there may or may not be a 751interview, but they may waive the interview due to Stan's critical medical condition. Very frustrating they can't reach a decision today, but I am not surprised, if they have to reschedule the interview, I will get my lawyer and have a medical team right next to my husband from the hospital. It is just grueling. I hope the supervisor will see the medical evidence I submitted and approve my application before it is too late. Just have to wait and see at this point.

I hope your interviewer has a heart of gold and waves your I-751 interview and approves your N-400 application tomorrow!  :star:

Most importantly, I hope your hubby recovers soon!  :)

I just received an email a few minutes ago that my N400 interview has been scheduled as of today. But I haven’t received any notice online with the exact date. I don’t know if it’ll be combined with my I-751. I guess so. I will keep you posted.

Great news!  Congrats!

I just noticed that USCIS has updated their website and the page showing the processing times. Now instead of saying which date the field office is processing it just says a range of normal processing time. For my field office it says 11 to 14.5 months. Yeesh. Does anyone know if that means from the time they receive your application until the time you have your oath ceremony and are a US citizen? Or does that mean it could take 11-14 months for your application to be ready to adjudicate, then scheduling an interview/oath after that?

I just noticed that USCIS has updated their website and the page showing the processing times. Now instead of saying which date the field office is processing it just says a range of normal processing time. For my field office it says 11 to 14.5 months. Yeesh. Does anyone know if that means from the time they receive your application until the time you have your oath ceremony and are a US citizen? Or does that mean it could take 11-14 months for your application to be ready to adjudicate, then scheduling an interview/oath after that?

According to the site, "This time range is how long it is taking your office to process your case from the date we received it. ".

So it looks like from the time they've received your application to the oath ceremony.  :clock:  BTW, mine is 12 to 15 months!  :bonk:

I hope everything went well and your interviewer (and the supervisor) was able to wave your I-751 interview (and your hubby is recovering well)!  :star:

Thanks a lot, I hope so too. Just one day at a time in terms of my husband's health. Maybe things will turn around soon.

I explained to him about my husband's situation and gave him the whole packet of expediting request with dr's letters and medical records, he said he would talk to the supervisor, he did not waive the interview, he just said he would talk to him today. Thanks for the wish on my husband. Very tough times.

I hope you hear back from your interviewer tomorrow!  :star:

Most importantly, I hope your hubby gets better so you'll have good news for him when you become an US citizen!  :)

Yes, that would be great, but my husband is 89 years old already, that is why I submitted an expedited request with loads of evidence. I will see how it plays out. Not so promising now, but I will try to stay strong, thank you.
