I'm doing it so I don't have to worry about abandoning a green card when we leave, hopefully in 2018. Sorry that's offensive to people.

 

It being a quick process for me is a bit irrelevant since I had very little control over that. I filed online, and got the biometrics done early. Those are the only ways I had any control over it. 

 

I have been very supportive of others. My dislike for the idea of being an American and living in this country should have absolutely no bearing on anyone else in this thread. I wish for everyone to be happy. If becoming an American and living in the United States for the rest of your life is what makes you happy, then that's what I encourage you to do.

I get it, but it should also be understandable that obviously there have been users here that have found your reasons for applying for 400 offensive, it was inevitable because the were very blunt and direct about it. Your applying on line and getting a fast interview date is not your fault, but when you combine your remarks and your fast approval, it is human nature that some are going to feel resentful given your stance on America and your reasons for immigrating to the U.S. Well, glad you wish for everyone to be happy, the second half of your comments will help ease the tension, thanks.

I can't do anything about their resentment. It is what it is I guess.

Since you have already stated your reasons, and you can't take them back, so i guess the best way is to be supportive and the reasenment will just disapate after a while.

That's the thing. I would have no reason to take it back. It's not like I said anything I feel bad about or regret. It is what it is. If somebody resents me, that's really just their problem not mine.
