My husband’s first waiver took only 7 months to get approved. But unfortunately he was denied a visa at the embassy and he is required to file a second waiver. We filed the second waiver in January of 2018. I cant’t beleive that now the processing time is over 12 months. Why USCIS processing times got slower? Before 2016 some waivers were processe din other uscis centers. They merged all waivers applications to NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER. It is ridiculous that they wanted families not to be separated for a long time and that’s why Obama’s administration made waiver process faster and now it just got worst.

Sorry to hear you have to file another waiver.  I thought once it is approved the individual will not be denied at embassy.  Do you mind briefly sharing why you have to file a 2nd waiver?

Our 601 waiver got approved today (Feb 26th). Our waiver was received by Nebraska on Dec 21, 2016. FYI.

Our waiver was approved February 28.  Our lawyer called today letting us know she received Approval notice.  I didn't get an email or text notification from USCIS, it doesn't show on Case Status website.  Yay!!!  We are so happy.  Received date was December 21, 2016.

Hi there I was just wondering if you can let me know the time it takes after getting approval to interview date and also if you had to do back police clearance and all that. I'm from guyana too and our receipt date is June 19 2017, looks like we have another 6-7months of waiting.

Yes I will definitely let you know.  Approval date on letter said February 28.  My husband is still waiting for further instructions so I will post when he receives them, what they list, time until interview date, etc.

Hang in there...i know, it really has been such a long wait.

Does any one know what I can do if my case already passed processing time posted by USCIS and I've submitted several expedite requests without luck? My case was file Nov 7 2016, mover to another office 01/30/2017. I keep calling USCIS customer service but I cant get any response back of why or when I should received a response back on my case. I'm so frustrated.
