I wrote my state senator and completed a request for assistance form.   A representative called me back and said she would get an update. The next correspondence was an email saying that my husband was approved on June 26th.

Oh wow! Me also have a long story like that. but it is till not over.. I need to work on a time table once I receive my visa to encourage others..... BTW what is a AOS?

 I am gathering my birth certificate and police reports... just finished my DS-260.....

no.... I did not get a congressman involved.... I just mean the whole process has been years in waiting and heart ache and I will when I finally get my visa to see my children write it down here to encourage others.....

soooo after receiving your waiver approximate time after wait for the visa to come in.... if there are no problems... does anyone know?

I reached out to the congressmen representing my constituent in Washington D.C and they helped with reaching out to USCIS and DOS to get info about my case. Sometimes when they email USCIS and DOS about your case it gets worked on.

AOS is Affidavit of Support

The consulate included the interview process in the instruction sent after waiver approval...… In the instruction it said to come to the consulate anytime as soon as we got medical and police report done and also submitted DS260.

For Juarez the soonest I could apply for the visa appointment was for September 4th... I put in my DS260....  My husband has to put in the AOS and I have to get the police reports and birth certificate and for for the Medical Interview....BTW does anyone here know if the ASC Interview... if it is the same as the medical interview?? And how I would pay for it.... in Juarez...
