Does anyone have a case from Nov 7 2016? I opened a case with CIS Ombudsman Service and I'm still not hearing back from them. Anyone else know what else I can do in  order to get information about why my case is taking longer than current processing time after being on Hold in MO office for more than a year ?

@Maria Holness are you sure your date is April 2016 not 2017 because some of December 2016 and January 2017 got approved then you should follow up quick with case inquiry

Yeah I am sure they ask for additional information since July they received info. Since then nothing only say my case is active .it has been 24 months

That is good they are transferring cases to help speed up the cases but what they needed to transfer is the I-601 and not I-601a because the 601a spouses are already here in the U.S......

Best of luck to all though.

So true. They are so behind, I do not understand why, lack of personnel? I don't think so....December 27, 2016 and still not heard anything, very frustrating.

A search of 500 case numbers covering roughly feb 13, 2017-feb 16, 2017 receipt dates: showed 4 approved Mar 21, 2018, 1 approved Apr 18, 2018, 1 RFE Apr 18, 2018, and 8 Received Feb 16, 2018

4 approved March 21 2018, 1 approved April 18 2018, 1 RFE april 18, 8 rcvd Feb 16 2017.

IDK how they are organizing the workflow - with so many only showing received for Dec 2016 & Jan 2017, and about 1/4 for feb 2017 worked.  I can only search so many cases every few days.  My app runs through about 5000 case numbers (500 per search) then I get locked out for between 24-48 hrs.  I'm using a spreadsheet to log the results and try to get a feel for what is being worked more accurately than the website shows.  But so far - it's consistent with the reported times, some as far back as 18 months, some as early as 13/14.  I haven't gotten through Feb yet.  Some it's easy to see the "expedite" - as they show approved within 90 days of the others received.  I really hope the transfer of 601a cases (or some of them anyway) helps get things going faster and I hope everyone still waiting from 2016 hears something soon!  Nebraska is understaffed and they have also received well and truly thousands more cases than they expected/projected.  There was a big surge in 2015 and it only keeps getting worse.  I don't know if they solved the management issue either, but at an open house event in 2016 it was revealed that they were "rotating through interim directors" until the position was filled permanently....that kind of constant management/leadership change could not have been any good for finding solutions to the increase in cases processed.

I found a Data report for total cases for 2017.  The waivers row covers every possible waiver form - not just 601s, so they may not all be going through NSC, but they received over 76,000 waivers in 2017 alone.

I just don't understand why they have jumped from my case LIN1790291446  and LIN1790291447 from December 27, 2016 to the following cases...they jumped my numbers and approved LIN1790291448 which was also a I-601...:(
