EB2 Consular Processing in Berlin and Husband in US

I recently got email from NVC with case number and US embassy in Berlin will process my visa though I have written the US embassy of my home country in form i140 for processing. I live in Berlin and my husband lives in US. Initially our plan was to do consular processing from our home country. Things would change now after receiving an email from NVC. We do not want to change the consulate which would delay our case by several months.

Is there any way that my husband and I could get immigrant visa or GC together? Can my husband come to Berlin as a tourist and go through consular processing with me? Is anybody aware of the follow-to-join benefits for immigrant visa applicant through consular processing? Please share your experiences or thoughts if anybody know or had gone through this thing?

Usually they only allow people to go to their own home country or to the country they reside to get their visas. That is why you can do it in Berlin. Is your husband your dependent for the EB2? If so, then he might be able to go to Berlin, you would have to ask the consulate to confirm because the problem is that it changes from consulate to consulate what they allow.

If he has his own petition, then he needs to go to his home country.

Where's your husband from? R u the main applicant? If he's a dependent on yours he should be ok to go to your consulate, as long as he can get police certificate from all the countries he's lives for more than 6 months after he turned 16. You can also email the embassy and ask them.

Hope all works out. Let me know how the interview goes, we r going for EB3  in 6 months or so.

Best wishes.
