Yes, many people front load at the USCIS stage, also at NVC. I am not trying to argue with you, but when you sit and wait for an approval for 7 plus months from USCIS, i feel its a good idea to submit further evidence to NVC of your relationship. Example, i made 2 trips to see my husband after i filed the I 130, so i have new evidence, so i am choosing to include that. It's not required, i am sending it though. If people feel they want to send extra proof, no need to discourage them as long as they have everything NVC is requiring. JMO. The process is what it is, it is taking longer and longer then a year ago. Just have to hold on for the ride

No worries, I understand.  :) Wishing you a speedy CC. And congrats to making to the NVC. Last case @ptpenny78

from DR had their CC in 6 weeks/43 days!!

For the Dominicans getting their police certificate:

1. Did you have to go to the procuraduria to get it in person or were you able to get it online?

2. How long before it expires for immigration purposes?

3. Does NVC require to translate it?

You can pay for it online and print it. Also no need to translate. I think its valid for 6 months not 100% sure.

Well usually people front load their I 130 petition, I chose to do that. At NVC people side load, which I also will do.

On my I-130 i only sent basic documents like birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce documents and so forth. I sent no pictures or anything like that. To NVC I only sent what they asked for. Our I-130 took 6 months to approve and our NVC case completed in exactly 6 weeks.

Yes - as has been briefly explained front loading is adding in as much information as possible.

In my case although we didn't necessarily need proof of assets I still put in our proofs in the last section where it says you can put additional documents. I also added in photos of us and the past 3 months of text conversations because I was not asked to submit anything and didn't receive any RFE in my i130. I didn't want to risk my NVC process to case complete being any longer than it already is and I don't think these things will cause any problem as they were neatly organized into my envelope still in the correct order.

great job! you'll be fine. :)

We also added cover sheets explaining the changes on our IRS transcripts from filing "single" to "married" etc. These kinds of things I read were recommended!

Yes, that was me that recommended that. ;) heheh But get this..  I was shocked that the embassy gave me that info back at the interview.. It's like they didn't even care.. i guess it's not such a "red flag" after all.. Sure it happens all the time.. hahaha  They didn't even ask for my updated tax transcript.. But still i would suggest bringing it to the interview if available... Each embassy is different..

I'm glad to hear the UK has a smooth 7-8 week process.. here's hoping it continues for the August scan dates!!

Sure it will stay the same.. heck they're getting faster overall.. possibly even get it earlier than 6 weeks!! wouldn't that be amazing?!? but don't want to get your hopes up too high if they start to get backed up again..

And thank you @JBMG as always for your advice and spreadsheets etc. I can't tell you how many times I read your post about how not to receive a checklist and made sure to put stamps/stickers of my case number on all my documents :) I wouldn't have done that without you! You are so kind.

You're welcome. Happy you were able to get your package out.

Wishing you luck!!

I think front loading maybe depending on the situation as well.  I have struggled with if I should or shouldn't on the NVC stage but I'm petitioning from a high fraud country and although I don't want to complicate my application I do want to make sure I have enough detail/evidence that there would be no question of our relationship.  The thought of his visa getting denied and be without him another year terrifies me.  Praying for the best!

Please refer to this website. https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/ekonsular_on9/login/GUIDELINES.pdf

I requested my Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC equivalent to police Certificate) online. Then I waited for a few weeks, cant remember. I think no more than 3 weeks. They said to wait for 1-2months, but got it earlier. After they issued the CGC, you can collect it for MYR20 at Ministry of Foreign Affair, Wisma Putra.

Ok I got one from ministry of foreign affairs in Jan 2016 and I leave malaysia after i finished my masters degree in 2016 February I submitted that to Nvc and they said they won't accept that Becos its was dated Jan 2016 I got that in 5 working days when I applied for it then , now I'm waiting for the one I just applied for
