So I am here in the USA with my husband. I can't believe that it's almost over.... whatta journey... co-incidentally it's exactly a year that I left. 😑

 

Its over. It's finally over.:jest::jest::jest:

 

poe was at sfo.No questions asked. Just stamped "admitted " on the passport and took my documents . I hope that's it. @abfar @parsha @MLK2016 @KaurN is that it?? Did you all get the same?

 

@JBMG- thanks for being amazing. Just be the same. 😊

Yes it was uneventful at the POE.    We received the social security number within about 10 days of the POE.   We just received notice that the green card is being mailed (about 22 days from POE).

You should also have the Immigrant Visa  with photo affixed to one of the pages of the passport which acts as a temporary green card with a temporary expiration. At the bottom it states serves as Temporary I-551 Evidencing Permanent Residence For 1 Year.

yup that is all. the stamp validates the visa.

awesome!! so glad it was uneventful. hehehehe. :) Seems like it was easier for you then myself an American.. Sometimes asking several questions whenever I go back.   SOO Happy you made it home!! It's been one heck of a journey!! :)

This is what I am using with my receipt number I got after paying the fee https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Hi everyone! What happened to September scheduling? I see lot of you still pending... let's hope for the best to the second half of this month! 

 

I just received a call from the consulate they schedule my son's interview already at the same time as mine yayyy!! They told me they will send a letter via regular mail in about 10 days (here in Mexico mail takes forever) anyways  I'm ready now to finish my packets for the interview, still got plenty of time to see if something's missing tho... thank you very much vjourneys for all your help and the best of luck for everybody who's still waiting... there's always a light at the end of the tunnel! Have a blessed day!!!
