Case was completed on June 8th and finally got an interview date for September 11. Although I do have a question that I've been wondering for a while now. The beneficiary was deported before. Do you think that the topic will be brought up in the interview ?

CO will most likely bring it up

Hi everyone! I have a question, I just received my p4 letter this morning, everything's going smooth, but, since my son's case was expedite he won't be getting a p4 letter am I right? So, nvc told me I should schedule his appointment with the consulate, but when I called they kept telling me I should receive a letter from nvc event tho I repeatedly told them the case was expedite, I registered my appointment online and added my son's info too to schedule biometrics and everything is fine, they gave me a confirmation letter but still it says I should take the interview confirmation letter to the interview at the consulate. What letter or document should I take? And a it right the way I registered my son's appointment or he won't be allowed to go with me at the same time of my interview? Good thing I still have more than a month ahead to figure this out... TIA for your precious time and help!

Hey my husbands case got expedited as well. The consulate kept telling me that they will not schedule the interview until I receive a letter from NVC. However similarly I scheduled the interview online and got a confirmation letter. I sent several emails to the consulate but never got a correct answer regarding the P4 letter. I followed some other peoples posts who had their cases expedited and they never received a P4 letter either. So my husband just went to the interview and biometrics with the interview confirmation we received through the email. When the guards  at the consulate on the interview day asked him for the appointment letter he showed them the email and let them know that our case was expedited. They accepted that. He had no issues at the interview and had a successful POE.

Aww, Sorry @Zee02.. Sucks that you have to wait even longer.  Hope they get the new passport ASAP. Thank you for sharing.

Here is the correct link. I've copied and pasted Zee02's review below.

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?trim=no&cty=&cnty=Tanzania&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

My interview was on 07/27/2017 at 8.30. I arrived there at 8.00 and we had to wait in a queue. One by one was alowed to enter. Neither the petitioners nor any family member was allow in with the applicants.

I enter inside firstly had to go through the security check. No envolopes, folders, mobile or purses are alowed inside. All these items are kept by the guards. Once I was inside we had to first go to window number 01 and had in our documents that the lady asks to provide. Then you are asked to sit down till your name is called out. After about an hour and half I was called to go to window number 03. This was where my interview was conducted.

The lady aske me few questions:
1. When did you get married?
2. How did you meet him?
3. Love or Arrange?
4. What does he do in states?
5. Who does he live with?
6. Is this your and his first marriage?
7. Have you ever been to the states?

The whole time she was talking to me she was typing in her computer. Then she asked me to show her some pictures of us. She just went through them quickly and handed it back to me.
Then she tells me that you have a problem with your passport, our system does not allow to read it due to the FNU. My heart just sunk there I was so confused I didn't know what was going on. She said that they can not stamp my visa because of that. I hold an Indian passport but been living in Tanzania since I was 6years old. She told me don't worry this happens with many people and they just get it changed. She asked me to go correct my name and get back whenever I am ready. She gave me a written letter. She kept all my original and photocopied docs with her.

After I came out from there I went to the Indian embassy and handed them the letter and asked them to help me out and they told me there is nothing they can do about it. This FNU is a serious Nightmare.

I didn't give up. I went to the Indian embassy the next day. I requested them to help me out with my situation. And they told me the only way was to re-issue my passport. I went a head with that. It normal Takes 30 days to get a new passport but express takes 15days.

On 07/31 I went to the consulate with my receipt and told them the whole situation. They told me it's okay whenever you have ur passport come with it we will do the needful. I then asked them how long will after I hand in my passport will I receive my visa they said you bring in on Monday and you will get it by Friday.

Now here we go again with the Waiting... it just doesn't end

It really does... hope I do get it soon😭

Thanks a lot for the link

country to be interviewed:GHANA.

i still haven't got my interview.

i called nvc today and they said no interview date. am really worried. can someone help me out?

Your instinct is set to worry, and we all for sure share that instinct when it comes to reuniting with our loved one. I would not stress it too much since getting interview date may take up to 3 months after your CC. We personally experienced a delay of almost 2 month.

I hope you hear from them for September, otherwise I am sure you will have a shot of it for October. It is still early to give up for a September date though. Stay Strong.
