Hello, I had my interview today and I didn't get approved. The whole story is here:

The officer said he was going to send as a RFE letter and IF I get approved, I would get the 2 year GC and blah blah...

But 8hrs later, I got an update on the USCIS case status saying: "Your New Card is being Produced. On July 31, 2017 we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCxxxxx and will mail it to the address you gave us". So is that normal even if we need to wait for the RFE letter? Or is just that the online page sucks (which I have read a lot about that). Or maaaaybe the officer took time to review the evidence we gave him and changed his mind?

If anyone has experienced this, I would appreciate your comments :) Thanks!

Congrats, even if it is normal or not, all that matters is you getting the card in your mail.....I would take that reply right now lol.... :D

Also sometimes, the IO supervisor might have cleared you or the worst case is you still get an RFE when your card arrives.....with USCIS you don't know.... But be rest assured you are almost there with the first stage.

Congrats

I have never heard of anyone receiving both a card AND an RFE.  I think congratulations are in order for your visa approval..Congratulations!!!

I mean you can be approved and still asked for an RFE if they needed a document. I have read about it on a forum. The guy was approved but asked to submit a document.

In that case the CO would normally give the interviewee a 221g slip. My wife received one at her interview.  The CEAC status changed to "Refused" .  2 days after she submitted the required document, the status changed to "Issued".  They don't produce a card until EVERYTHING is complete and approved.

Thank you for your replies! after 3 days of the interview we got a message saying the card has been mailed! So I guess there is no need of the rfe after all :)
