Hey,

Our case was received April 11th and we're still waiting on our AO/EAD. We submitted an inquiry through their help line on July 12, received a letter 2 weeks later saying our case is under review and we should hear back from them soon.

So...we're on the same boat here.

Hope this helps :)

Hi there

It looks like USCIS is behind on processing APs and EADs. I applied at the beginning of April, got no news for 90 days, then I put in a Service Request and an Expedited Request and also reached out to my congressman to ask for fair consideration of the expedited request. I finally got a notice of "new card is being produced" for my EAD last Friday - that is 106 days after my application was registered with USCIS. Right now you should expect longer processing times but it never hurts putting in a Service Request for them to check your case – it could help. Worst that can happen is they don't get back to you - but it won't delay your card any longer. Good luck!

hi- what was your reasoning behind the service request? i tried submitting one but they said i need to show extreme hardship or someone being sick and they didn't help me much after that.

Hi

I requested the expedite on the grounds of financial loss and I wrote a cover letter explaining the situation and attached a job offer that was 3 months pending. My rationale was that losing this job offer would result in financial loss for me and my husband. My congressman said that it's always a 50/50 chance for expedited requests to get approved - that is, you never know if the officer that gets your request considers your case worthy of expediting or not.

i am wondering how the visa journey timelines work. it says they are processing apr 18 AP's but on the USCIS it says march 2. is this based on people posting and their approvals?

Yes, it's based on VJ users' data. USCIS's processing charts are about 2 months out of date at the time they are posted (check the "...as of" date on the charts), and updated monthly.

Hi there. Having the same issues. Filed on 11th April and have raised a service request for my EAD where the answer was my case is under review. I also have a job offer pending and have had to delay my start date 3 times now.

I was finally put through to the tier 2 customer service (to speak to an immigration officer). They informed me that my EAD was approved last Friday and that I should receive my card this week. However, instead I received a NOA stating that whilst my EAD has been approved, so has my green card and that I now need to wait for that. Not sure what to expect now or when but I have another service request raised that has been expedited and I should have an answer on Monday.

But yeah, looks like they are facing a big backlog.
