Filed for Removal of conditions on 8/28/2017 and no changes since the last update on April 9th about the case being received at my local office. I did receive my 18 month extension letter about a month ago. I have not filed for naturalization yet.

 

Lets hope we all get an approval soon.

does anyone ever travel abroad with their second I-751 extension letter (18 months) instead of the stamp? does it work fine? I plan to travel abroad next week and will be back a week before my first 12 months letter expires. wonder if the airlines or the imigrations when i re-enter the us, they will get it if I bring 2 extension letters instead of the stamp on my passport? TIA

I’ve traveled with the extension letter (12 month) twice. I’m going to Europe next month with my extension letter 18 months. I’ll let you guys know. But I am sure I’ll be fine with my passport, expired green card and the 18 months letter.. the letter was provided by USCIS so there’s no reason to be concerned.

13 months so far and still waiting the only thing I got last month was the 18 months letter ?!  and the glitch about moving the case to local office at 09 April . Hope and pray for the approval soon!

Same here , case was received at local office on April 9 and nothing after that. The case status is"Case was Received " , there is no update . I don't know if it has been to assigned to anyone yet .

It takes VSC 13.5 months now to approve roughly 50% of applications and up to 16.5 months to look at almost everything.. Let's stay hopeful 🙂

thats awesome! I've been googling around about using this 18 months letter but most of stuff I read, they suggested to get the stamp on their passport. I wonder if this 18 months letter is a new thing or something. I googled all this just because I'll be back so close to my green card /firs letter expiration date and it gets me thinking. or its me just over thinking.😞 😕

hang in there. Some people I know (VSC area), they got approved in 14 months

You are overthinking. The 18 month extension letter is New and began this year due to the increase in processing time. The extension letter is the exact thing as the stamp -just need the expired gc with it.

Date of I-751 = The Date you sent your application.

NOA Date = The Receipt Date on youroriginal NOA letter.

Biometrics = The Date of your biometrics appointment.

Approved = The Date your case was approved.

Same as 12 month letter, you will be fine, that's exactly why they sent them out!!!  Safe travels!!

None for us, applied Aug. 9, nothing except, from April 9th also, and did receive ext. letter on the 16th of Aug...and no haven't or really don't want to naturalize just yet...  I want them to send the 10 year green card, Geesh!!

We are exactly on the same wagon,  P.D is August 9th, 2017, The apps says Received by local office April 9th and the website says February 26th... and also received 18 months letter on Aug 16th. 😑
