Because we are going to Germany soon, and in order to apply for the Schengen visa the GC has to have more than 3 months left following the planned trip duration

If we did not have that trip planned, I would not have bothered getting the stamp

I don't have time to read back through all the recent pages... am I correct in understanding people are receiving a second extension letter from the original 12 month letter? Any CSC filers receiving this letter? Someone please take pity on me and catch me up!

Yes August filers from VSC are getting another 6 months extension letters

A bunch of us VSC filers got letters between Thursday and today so far, I think some CSC filers in other threads got theirs too.

So far no August CSC filers have reported to have gotten an extension letter yet, just VSC.

Received my 18 month extension letter today, but I got a year extension stamp in my passport two weeks ago. Should be fun coming back after my vacation in a few weeks.
