Has any one heard about some one apply at August 2017 and got approved . One person on other immigration website said that he got approved so how that is it suppose to be at least one year ?

If you check out Igor’s list t has everyone on visajourney that has been approved thus far- if everyone updated their timeline it would be more accurate :) just a reminder for all to update your timeline!! Here’s the link to see approvals http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=3&scenter=2&option=2&sortby=2

Oh right there was one person from here. They had an interview a few months ago but that was a particular circumstance. No approvals from anyone else here though :(

Correct- it was awhile ago. The July Vermont fillets have been getting approvals so I am hopeful we are soon!

Just got a reminder to renew my driver's license which expires at the same time as the green card/1-year extension. Since I haven't received the 18-month extension, I'm thinking of going to USCIS to get that stamp. I still have time because it expires in October, but I'll try to schedule an appointment in September.

You may have your gc by then (fingers crossed) but I read on other forums people renewed their drivers license online paid $50 and didnt have problems- maybe see if your state has that option? It’s interesting to learn different states do things differently. In CT the drivers license isn’t tied to the gc expiration. But we also allow undocumented individuals to get DL as well so maybe we are just more lenient? Good luck and let us know if online option works when the time comes!

A few have been approved, if you download the USCIS Case Tracker app you can see them. Off the top of my head cases #35, #63, #71, #243, and #270 have been approved.

Edit: That was just for August 1, there are other approvals on other days but I only track August 1 because my NOA is that day :)

I cant figure out how do you see who is approved on the app? please xplane

Be warned, once you go down this rabbit hole there ain't no coming back...

So if you have the tracker app go to the search tab. You can search using a receipt number and you can ask it to return up to 500 petitions filed after the number you enter. You use the 3 numbers after the EAC17 (or WAC17) to determine the day you want to search. USCIS uses a fiscal year that begins on October 1, so for example fiscal day 305 is August 1 and entering EAC1730500000  will show you all petitions filed on August 1, 2017. EAC1730600000 will show you August 2, 2017 and so on. Weekend days are counted in the fiscal year and don't return results; EAC1730800000 is August 4, 2017 (a Friday) so the next number that would give you results is EAC1731100000 (a Monday).

You have to use the receipt number you received when you got your NOA, do NOT use biometrics.

I do a search for the second half of July (14-31) and August 1 each week to see how the approvals are going and I document all the changes, my husband likes to see the rates of approval/rfe/interview and apparently this makes him feel better -_-

Can build a statistical model for it. (1) The probability of deviating from the average waiting period. (2) If deviated then the expected deviation. (1) times (2) returns expected deviation.

I am familiar with this but I think I would need cleaner data, like I would need to look at like September-November or other future months where there are no or little approvals since I would need RFE/Interview data and if the case is already approved I can't tell if they had an RFE/Interview or not.  I only began to do this two weeks ago. My husband is lucky he gets what I give him ;)

The first component of the framework is simply probability of an event, in this case the occurrence of additional waiting time. Modeled output is a categorical value, Y/N, by comparing the actual waiting time to the average. Data on potential drivers will be challenging to gather, e.g., having kids or not, first marriage or second marriage, self prepared case or lawyer prepared, applicant's country of birth, etc. I agree with you that REF can be a great proxy for potential issues.

The second component of the framework is given that deviation occurs, how much longer? A simplified approach can be assuming there is positive correlation between the probability of deviation and the extra waiting time. It is intuitive that the applicant with higher likelihood of high scrutiny will likely wait longer. In this case, the model output is the difference between average and actual waiting time. Therefore the predictive factors will be the model output from the first component of the framework.

Yes, see here https://www.cilawgroup.com/news/2015/06/04/uscis-receipt-numbers-explained-lin-src-eac-wac-ioe/

Are you using your biometrics case number or your NOA case number? You need to use the NOA case number. I don't think CSC would have a different numbering convention than VSC, check with the other December CSC filers?

December 1, 2017 was fiscal day 062 and December 29 (last weekday in December 2017) was fiscal day 090, so your NOA case number should be somewhere in between WAC17062XXXXX and WAC17090XXXXX.

It won't let me edit my post, weird...

I went into the May 2017 filers thread and saw some WAC172XX numbers, Monday May 1, 2017 was fiscal day 213 so it would seem that they use the same system.

By NOA number do you mean the extension letter? cause that's the number I've been using to check ever since

Oh right, I forget that their new year begins on 10/1 after I literally posted that  so yes your receipt would start with 18, so does your receipt say WAC1806XXXXXX? It should be between WAC18062XXXXX and WAC18090XXXXX. So take your first 5 numbers, then after that put 00001, use that to search who has been approved so far on your date.
