It was just a letter saying that they acknowledge receipt of my petition, and that biometrics are not required, they will use previously captured fingerprints and photo to conduct background checks, oh and that although biometrics are not required, the bio fee will not be refunded haha. I did get a laugh from that line.

Still no news.

Man..

I got a letter asking me to go and get my biometrics taken and my appointment was 1 day before the last day to evacuate Florida for the Irma hurricane. They took everything they needed and one month later I get another saying "no biometrics needed.. We will use your previous one, if you have not already applied for ROC please submit your application now.. #######? XD

I am in the same situation as everybody (received letter that biometrics appointment is not necessary); however, have any of you have left the country? Can I go outside the United States and come back just with my expired green card and my extension letter?

Yes you can

(until the letter expires...then you would need a stamp in your passport, which you can get at an infopass appointment)

Yep, my wife did exactly that earlier this month. No problems other than having to wait in a long line at immigration. Couldn't use the kiosk to re-enter the country.

I saw your previous question, did you just do it for the I-751?

Yeah only was able to choose I-751, now really worried cuz not sure if they will  update info for my son as a dependent in my form. I'm going to call them and ask.
