Hello

I did not get my biometric appt after filing I751... Filed in CA center and my receipt day was 09/07. Called USCIS 1 week ago for non-delivery biometric notice and the lady said I will get response in 2 weeks. I waited 1 week now and no response yet. I am very concerned with the procedure is being delayed. Any thoughts?

Don't be worried. Not everyone will get fingerprinted. I went to USCIS Info Pass and they said that they will likely send a letter in December (so far away from August, I know) that they'll use previous biometrics due to "excess caseloads".

- Removal of Conditions Timeline -

07/31/17 - Mailed I-751 package to California Service Center

08/01/17 - Package delivered to CSC

08/05/17 - NOA1 received by US mail

08/10/18 - Rec'd new NOA1 with 18 month extension instead of 12 months

10/15/18 - Case transferred to Nebraska

12/26/18 - ROC Approved

Thank you for all your response. I just got an email from USCIS after I requested what is going on my bio appt and it said they are unfortunately delaying their process and my name is electronically added to ASC scheduler and once their appt date is established they will mail to me. Sounds like I have to wait more.. Does that mean I will get a bio appt for sure or can be waived? I think the good news so far here is that I did not miss or lose any letter yet... Sorry! I did not mean to complain here but I felt a little frustrated.

Hi, no problem, happy to help.

Yeah I had same responses from them for me and my son, and then I called them again and  said I'm still waiting and didn't mention abt that letter. So then lady gave me that email address  where I wrote what I told you before, and they sent me same exact email respond abt delayed waiting, like yours, but after two weeks from that time I got waivers. I think I was just too annoying to them, lol. Try to send email, it won't hurt. But that letter abt delaying, doesn't mean anything, just automatic response I guess, cuz I had it too.

Good luck. Let me know if you have more questions:)

Wow that's great. Can't believe they went through your papers already, it's been 4 months only. Well the great thing is you gonna have you GC soon and won't need to wait over a year.

What center did you apply and what date  has you interview been scheduled?

I don't think anybody here have gotten any news yet, so you will be the first one.

Good luck!

That was fast. Don't worry, if they didn't request for more evidence you should be fine, just bring what they ask for your interview and you will be all set. Let us know how after you done.

I called again today and they put in anotjer service request to check on the status of a biometrics letter. They said they were surprised that biometrics was taking so long, but that the response should arrive by mail or email in 15 or so business days.

When I asked, the person I got also said that the biometrics appts are sometimes cancelled if there has been another one within 18 mos.
