Well below is a reference in the USCIS I-9 manual for employers to the extension letter:

The combination of an expired Permanent Resident Card and a Form I-797, Notice of Action, that indicates that the card is valid for an additional year, is an acceptable List C evidence of employment authorization for one year as indicated on Form I-797. At the end of the one-year period, you must reverify.

That is on page 20 of the manual, which is here:

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Verification/E-Verify/E-Verify_Native_Documents/E-Verify Manuals and Guides/M-274-Handbook-for-Employers.pdf

Not sure if that is what you're looking for, but that should satisfy any potential employer about your legal status.

I guess this one is on Page16 not 20. :)

You got a stamp? I thought you could only get a stamp if your extension letter was about to expire. My husband filed in August. Does he need a stamp too?

No I got NOA1 and my son didn't get anything, so we had to go and get a stamp for him in order to extend his GC.

Your husband is fine as long as he got his extension letter.

I'm fairly confident you can get a stamp any time but most people don't bother because getting an infopass appointment is nearly impossible. Also stamps are normally issues for 6 months or a year depending on the office so if your extension is still good for more than 6 months it might not gain you anything to get the stamp.

So, guys, finally after 3 months of waiting for bio appt, me and my son got two letters today, that USCIS will reuse our previous pictures and fingerprints. They waived them, even it's been more than two yrs since we had ones.  So relieved now:)

@cantofla did you get anything yet?

Oh wow that's wonderful news. Congrats @Inna&Chris

Nope, nothing in the mail yet from USCIS.

I hope to hear something from them soon, but when I went to the Info Pass they said check back in December if I don't hear from them... I hope I do soon

My plastic green card has officially expired, and I traveled with the extension letter. So I know we are fine, but still... They are so unorganized

I'm so over them to be honest with you lol. I even stopped looking online to see if the case processing has further advanced. Whenever the green card comes it comes. Just shitty because we were planning a trip next summer overseas to Europe, which we probably won't end up doing honestly until my permanent green card comes in, just in light of everything happening politically.

I-751: August 2017 Filers

Hi everybody, I am a newbie here. I have already filed my ROC in mid August and received NOA1 on 08/25, Bio appt 09/19. Now a long waiting process is begin. I just have a question about the case status, it still stated that case was received eventhough my Bio done about 2 months ago. what that mean? Another question about traveling outside the US do i really need a stamp on my passport to re-entry in the US or my I-797 is enough because i cant  find the available appt date at my local USCIS. thank you.

Hello

I did not get my biometric appt after filing I751... Filed in CA center and my receipt day was 09/07. Called USCIS 1 week ago for non-delivery biometric notice and the lady said I will get response in 2 weeks. I waited 1 week now and no response yet. I am very concerned with the procedure is being delayed. Any thoughts?

A lot of us who filed in August have not yet received anything since our NOA1. Some have contacted USCIS and have received a variety of replies, most of which weren't very useful.

Basically USCIS is backed up, and your situation is common right now.

Same. Filed in August and still no biometrics appointment letter. Just patiently waiting! Hopefully it just gets waived. My only concern would be it falling on a date when I'm going to be out of town. But otherwise it doesn't affect anything.
