Hey all, when the conditional gc expires are you/your spouse taking the hard copy of the extension letter or making a copy of it and taking that? I'd rather not give my husband the hard copy...

Hey, definitely only original letter. I've heard someone had a huge troubles at the airport for not having one but showing a copy. Just make sure you have few copies of it at home just in case. It's like traveling with GC when you need an actual card and not a copy of it.

The number on the NOA1 doesn't work on the website. The number you need is on your biometric page, which is why it double sucks that you haven't received it yet. You'll have to do what @Daisy.chain did to get more information. Good luck! Sorry your process is having a rough start.

Still nothing for us. This feels like the first process all over again :(

Finally got the new WAC number. No biometric appointment yet though.

Tier 2 gave us the new WAC today.

Haven't received any biometrics letter. Don't want to call USCIS, but sounds like it has to be done. Does my wife (the gc holder) have to make the call or can I on her behalf?

Yes,

I am the USC, and my husband is the Applicant (GC holder)

He had to be present to allow me to speak to them on his behalf. No need for her to be present for the duration of the call, just at the beginning.

Just and FYI,

When we called today, he gave permission for me to obtain the information. After we were verified and requested the Tier2, we were in the queue to receive a callback instead of holding for the next agent. About of 2 hours later, I received a callback but had to 3waycall my husband to re-authorize me to speak to them on his behalf.

I got the NOA1 on 8/1/2017. Called USCIS on 9/21, and got another email on 10/4 below:

We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice, by mail, once an appointment date has been established for you.

I still don't know what to do next. At least I know I'm not the only person and you guys are not the only people on the same boat. I'll try to get more updates and will let you know.

We sent a power of attorney form authorizing me to make all calls and decisions on the off chance it would work, but it didn't. My husband still had to be physically on the line - tough to dowhen they call back hours later! I am supposed to call them back later this week. I got a "helpful" letter in this mail this week saying that I had called USCIS for a status update and listing my WAC number as unreadable and the case as "unable to be resolved". This is a simple case with no red flags to compensate for. :dead:
