You are not the only one, if you check out timeline from our thread as well from July, you will see that lots of people still waiting too...

My NOA came dated 08/02 and still no letter either.

even if the biometric center is busy, USCIS can still schedule and appointment based on availability and mail out a later to the petitioner with the scheduled date.  I don't know what's holding them back. 

I see many petitioners get their appointments in a timely manner :

Going for bio metric on 10/6. Can I get my passport stamped for that 1 yr extension. Also will it b ok to travel for 45 days, I was planning on going for a long xmas vacation?

Nope, passport is stamped if you don't get approved in a year from NOA1. Your NOA1 is also an extension letter, valid for 1 year

Hey everyone. I wanted to shed some light on biometrics.

 

We still haven't received biometrics notification yet. I went to an Info Pass apointment a couple of weeks ago and the officer there told me that it's possible we will get a letter in the mail stating biometrics will be waived (and they'll use previously provided finger prints).. She also mentioned that the green card won't come for another year and a half. Haha I just laughed and she laughed with me. I asked how come so long? She said that due to new policies which she can't publicly discuss with me, the same amount of officers are working as before for double the work (and they won't hire new people).

 

So anyway - I guess we have a long wait ahead of us. But she did confirm that we are in legal status, our lawful permanent residence is extended as per the official I-751 receipt, and not to worry. And if we require a LPR stamp, to come within three months of the expiration date of the I-751 letter, and one will be provided. They will at that time, collect your 2 year green card

Date of I-751 = The Date you sent your application.

Just finished my biometric appointment today. Timed myself 12 minutes in and out.. In Queens, NY. Appointment was at 8AM. Took original GC and State issued Driver's license as a backup. Did not bring my passport, although it wasn't needed. Very courteous and upbeat staff that early in the morning. Good thing was, I could go to work without having to take the entire day off. My first biometric appointment took a lot longer than this..

 

Also, I have a question.. I got a EAC number on  my NOA1 and I got two EAC numbers on my biometric appointment letter (One same as NOA1 and a new EAC next to it). When I check my case status on USCIS using the EAC number from NOA1 it doesn't work. However, the one that came with the Biometric appointment letter works. It says case was received on blah blah.. CR-189/

 

I travel internationally frequently and am worried if that will cause any issues when CBP officers try to process me at any POE based on the I-797(NOA1). Any thoughts?

Hey guys so after several time contacting USCIS regarding bio, nothing happened. 

Here is their respond I got on my email. Also they mentioned on it that they mailed it to me as well on  Sep.14th, but I never got it.

So after calling them and filing a new request two days ago, I got this respond.

 

"On 08/31/2017, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-751/CRI89 to notify us that you have not received an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center (ASC). Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved. Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name as well as you child's name have been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive ASC appointment notices by mail once an appointment date has been established for you and your child. We hope this information is helpful and appreciate your continued patience."

 

Like really???????? How much more time do they need to find an available  date for us?!

It's pretty much what I got too - but was told that at an info pass. She looked into my case and said they haven't scheduled biometrics since 2015 so go home and wait.

Still no biometrics letter, no infopass appt, and no tier 2 responding to the phone at USCIS. I talked to two actual people, one who said that tier 2 was not accepting calls for a while, but that they would call me back within 3-5 business days  The next let me through to tier 2, but the automated system said that they would call back in 140 minutes. Surprise ending: They didn't. Both the person and the automatic system said that my receipt number didn't exist, although I was looking right at it. 

 

I know WE did everything right on the application, but I do wonder if the letter was lost..if so, we're the ones affected, not USCIS. I am hoping biometrics was waived since we're within a year of the previous biometrics appt, but I want the new receipt number and to know for sure. I see some other timelines in the same boat!

Woohoo! I got through to someone. She said that the biometrics should have been sent out, then to call back in 15 days if I did not get a letter. I asked if it could have been waived as we are within 12 most of the last appointment, and she said they are good for 15 mos (?!?). I asked if I would get a letter if they decided to waive biometrics, and she said yes.
