Hi everyone.

The NOA date is 8/1, still do not have fingerprint notice yet.

All USCIS offices were closed though due to Hurricane Irma and mail service was suspended too. Hopefully soon

@Inna&Chris how are you guys? I hope your house is okay with this storm

Biometrics done - 5min in/out. Now for the long wait!!!!

Hi, I have a question about the expiration of the extension letter.  Does it expire one year from the 2-year GC expiration date?  Or does it expire one year from the NOA1 date on the extension letter?

Thank you for the quick response.   What is considered too little evidence, meaning, how many pieces of evidence is needed usually?  For example... Is it enough to have a joint bank account with multiple bank statements extended for a couple of years, electricity bills (multiple over a period of a few years), maybe airplane tickets for a vacation with a hotel reservation, taxes filed as married, and some pictures of us together... is that enough you think?

Also, I noticed that there was no mention of providing affidavit of support or financial sponsorship in the above link.  So that means we no longer need to show that we have sufficient income evidence (or have a sponsor)?

Hello all, I am getting ready to file for my I-751 as well. But I have some other issues - I hope it is not too long to post here, but if someone has similar experience or knows of something that could help I would appreciate any advice.

I became a permanent resident of the United States on December 5th 2015. As of today – September 15th 2017 I still have not received my Green Card, although I did everything right.

Is that 90 day window to file for I-751 considered September 5th 2017 for me then? Does it have to be any specific date or just before the December 5th 2017?

I keep paying more and more money for extra forms, I am having difficulties when I travel and I can’t get any answers or help from the USCIS – one lady even hung up on me. 1st fee for the Green Card was $165 and it was paid in November 2015 before I left to the United States. When this card was lost in mail, after a thorough investigation with United States Postal Services and USCIS, I had to pay another fee ($535) for its replacement (Form I-90) even though it was not my fault. I applied for this replacement in November 2016 and until today, that card has not even been issued yet. When I went to talk to our local USCIS office and I asked what will happen if I will not receive this one either the lady just said that I will have to file for another one for even higher fee...

Now I suppose I have to apply for ROC and pay another $680 - part of that is the biometrics fee ($85) which I did in January 2017 as a part of the I-90 form (to replace lost GC) and I have to pay for another biometrics appointment now.. Is there any chance that fee could be waived? Or any fees I paid and never got anything?

We even contacted the Senator’s office, but they were not successful in helping us find the first card and they said it is very unlikely that the USCIS would waive the fee for this application.

So here I am, spending $1,380 for all these cards and not even knowing if I will receive this next one. Sorry for a long message but it has been really frustrating 2 years for me here.

Thank you for any help or comments!

I would follow their instructions.  They are the most that matter.  Make an appointment with their office and follow what they say.  Follow all of what they say.  If they say you need to file for a new card, then do it.  If they say wait, then wait.  If they say go ahead and submit the I-751 form then do it.  Try to get their instructions in writing or in a letter.  Basically, it does not matter what you, I, people on here, or senators think.  What truly matters is what they think or what a related judge to the issue in court think of your case... I hope that helps.
