Questions to the VJ Veterans out there:

 

1. My Conditional GC doesn't expire till 10/29/17. Can I still travel outside CONUS with my old GC till say 10/28/17?

2. Do I need the extension letter even if I return to the US before the validity of my conditional GC ends? For example, now that I've filed my I-751 and I travel without the NOA but re-enter US say 9/30/17, can I still do that using my old GC or should I wait till I get my NOA in mail?

Also don't forget abt upcoming biometrics appt, which can arrive anytime withing 30 days, can be sooner or can be later. Now we really  can't predict it, for some reason it takes forever, but some people still get it on time.

We are still waiting for ours, it's been a month since we filed paperwork...

I know, I hope I receive the biometric appointment within 30 days so I can schedule my business trips around it.

:huh: Seems very random how some get it soon and some don't.. Maybe they should push some of the paperwork down to the field offices too or hire more people? AI? Machine learning? Do something.. Just don't make us wait! :D

That's probably true, I've been checking every day for 1.5 weeks till I got one available date and time for infopass appt in our Local Fort Myers office:(

Just  finish the call with level 2 officer, and she was able to check out my case. So, I have not been scheduled yet for bio... She said that the current wait for bio is abt 45 days up to two months, it's insane really!

So all I can do is to wait till the end of Sep. and if nothing arrives, should call again then. But the only good thing is, that she gave me my trackable  number so I can check my case status online. The status says: "Case was received - 8/2/17".

 That's it...

The easiest way to get to them is to call the number which appears on your NOA1, press:1,2,2,2 then you will be connected to a live agent. But since they not helpful a lot and can't check really what's going on with your case ask to connect you with level2 officer to get more detailed information.
