Just found this article in my news. Also seems like it's not suppose to effect our kind of GC holders, but who knows, especially if they started randomly call for interviews?!

Here is the article:

Thanks for sharing this article. Even though it doesn't affect us, I have a feeling it will slow down the whole system even more.

I don't think they sent less than enough, maybe some guys did, but not all them who received interviews, I guess it's a new "trend" calling for an interview after such a long wait.

It would be interesting to know what they submitted. We are using a lawyer (from k1 to now it's been wonderful and it's a sliding scale fee so not bad and peace of mind) and she has never had a client go to interview for ROC but did say if we do get called for one wants to attend to see why now... luckily we didn't have an interview for AOS- just a lot less stress to not have to go through one

Think you can only use the Biometrics receipt number on the uscis site, not the NOA

Just checked to confirm this, and was able to add the Biometrics receipt number to 'My Cases'.  Can also set up email and text notifications.

The receipt number from the NOA is not trackable :)

There are two receipt numbers on Biometrics letter. Use the second on uscis site and it will show that your application is received.

Hey last week when I spoke to tier 2 officer in which I was concern about my package not received they eventually got it on the 4th of August and NOA 1 August 24 When I called on the 26th the officer gave me 2 receipt number one for the NOA 1 and also gave me another one which I tracked and it showed the same thing as you does that means I have a Biometric appoiment already scheduled? What should I do should I wait or should I call?

If I were you, I'd call again, because I can only assume that having the second receipt number must mean that the appointment letter has at least been generated in their system somewhere! I may be wrong though!

No. I called USCIS today because it has been more than 30 days since my NOA1 date (July 26th) and I still haven't received my bio appt letter yet. My call was transferred to a Tier 2 officer who verified my information and told me that my bio appt hasn't been scheduled yet. I asked if she could tell me my case number (the one you can check your online status with) and she did, even though my bio appt is nowhere scheduled yet.

You are welcome. Btw my case status says exactly the same thing as yours ("Case Was Received") and that's normal. Hope your bio appt letter arrives soon! :)

I know, read their threads today, it's unbelievable to wait over a year and get interviews. This whole process is so frustrating...Whish we could file 1.5/2 yrs earlier when it was fast and smooth...

Its so ridiculous honestly.

Interviews are spiking, I actually called a lawyer here in my area and asked waht are the possibilities of an interview for ROC. He said it used to be 10% now its 50%.

Which honestly doesn't really bother me the fact that we may have an interview, I just wish they would get it over with already! All these new requirements and procedures from the new administration is backlogging the immigration system really fast.
