she was very active on social media, I was less and even more low profile lately.

Hey guys,

So here is my story, I filed in August 2017, got the 1 year extension letter a month later, then never heard back from USCIS no updates, no biometrics no nothing.
In the mean time i ve been calling and asking about updates, and no answers no updates.

In February 2019, I ve called to ask for a stamp as I didnt receive no extension letter, I went to the detroit office got the stamp and randomly pointed out that I ve never had my biometrics appointment, the officer said that she was gonna schedule one for me, and I ended up doing my biometrics on the spot.

Forward to march 2019, my case was outside normal processing times so I called and called my congressman, they updated my status to case moved to local office and they said that my case suffered from a technical glitch which is why it has been idle.

June 2019, i havent heard from USCIS so I refiled an out of normal processing times request and called my congressman to inquire about my case, they reached out to me saying that they didnt hear back from uscis but a couple days later (July 2019) I got an interview date for august 5th, I ve never filed n400 BTW.

I noticed that most people here got their approvals without going through the interview process, any hints on what to take what to do in the interview and if like the first interview I will get my approval or denial at the end of the interview.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, how was your interview? Can you share your experience?

Thank you!

Sure, well the interview was pretty smooth actually, we walked in at 9, 9 05 the officer called our name, she was surprised that i filed august 2017 she said "They are really late on the cases here, you should've had an answer 6 months ago". I was like no #######!

So the interview started with her asking me my wife's name her date of birth, she asked the wife my name and date of birth then she was like what do you have for me. I then gave her an abundance of pictures, 4 affidavits some bills our car title together flights hotels ...

She said thanks for all this now i dont have to ask you weird questions, you got your green card you are eligible to apply for citizenship started to explain how, i said thanks but no thanks. I am not dealing with uscis for another 3 years at least.

Thanks and bye I was out the door at 9 25.

She said my card will arrive within 60 days i didnt get anything yet, I did though get a notice of approval.

Please feel free to ask anything you want, I would be more than happy to help anyone who is living the same craziness i had to go through.

Hi guys I was schedule for an interview. Originally filled jointly (a big package full of evidences was sent) and after getting divorced I sent a letter asking then to change into a waiver application.

Basically I applied on June 2017 for I751, in April 2018, my divorce was final and I sent another package with more evidences.

My case was moved to the local office and in December 2018, I received a notification asking if I would like to change my process to a waiver. I accepted and I replied back, however I forgot to sign the letter.

Two weeks ago I received an appointment for an interview. I got all the docs that I had sent + new ones and I hired an attorney. The interview was smooth, 20 minutes approximately. At the end the officer explained that my case was on his hands because I did not submit enough evidences   and because I forgot to sign the adjustment letter. I sent 2 big packages with more than 150 pages each. He looked into the documents quickly. He was very nice and polite. He told me that he will inform me soon about his decision. my attorney asked how long would that take and he couldn't estimate.

A week has passed and I still haven’t heard anything.

Any thoughts folks?
