Hello!

I just got my letter of approval in the mail today.

my online case status has no change though.

Here’s my timeline:

i-751

Aug. 1,2017: NOA

No biometrics needed,

Oct 16,2018: Case transferred to Nebraska

Feb 1, 2019: Case was approved

No RFE, No interview

N-400

January 25,2019 : filed online

January 26,2019 : biometrics was scheduled

February 4,2019 : biometrics was done.

case status: Initial Review

I highly recommmed for those who still have I-751 pending to file N-400 online. And also try to contact your state congressman. I got some help from the congressman in my state. The staff called the USCIS.

It has been 18 months of waiting. One more step, I am done with visa process.

Thank you to all!

I’m still waiting and got transferred to Nebraska. I may apply for n400 online. Do you think this is why you got approved? Other people were saying it slows down the i751 approval.

Also. How do I go about contacting state congressmen?

Hello! I would recommend to start your n400 application. I did some research and followed filers of i-751 from January 2017. Most filers who still have ROC pending are the one who filed n400 after a year of filing i-751. This is what I have noticed. In my case I filed n400 after waited for 18 months. There is a big possibility your ROC will get adjudicated when your n400 application is ready for an interview. Why not file n400 online. Its easy and updates go fast. I filed 1/24 then 2/4 the uscis is reviewing my application. I am waiitng for my interview. I was told by the immigration officer it will only take 30-90 days. As for contacting your congressman, I emailed the congressman here in Albuquerque, I got respond after two days.  Google your state congressman then look for their contacts. You may call or email to ask for assistance. The congressman assigned a staff to take care of my concerns. The staff sent me a immigration privacy release to fill out. It is all about your case number and case status. They want to get permission from a filer to open their case. Also, I called USCIS before contacting my congressman. Told the officer that my case has been pending for 18 months. I wanted to send a copy of my sons birth certificate because I got pregnant two weeks after I filed my i-751 then mentioned that i sent enough evidences. I am not sure if she forwarded my concern to Nebraska. My i-751 got approved on 2/1 then i got my card 2/5. Sorry it is a long story but tried to give you some insight. Don't loose hope. You will get your i-751 approved soon. As what Ive said, waiting for more months is the same as waiting for months to get your n400 done. If you have more questions, about filing n400 let me know.

Good luck!

I called today to request an infopass appointment and ended up getting some information about my case. I received a call from an officer and he asked why I wanted an appointment and I explained to him that my job requires me to travel outside of the US often and almost every time I come in contact with a CBP officer, I’m asked why my gc was expired to one officer joking that my extension letter looks photoshopped. I expressed that I’ve had no updates since my case was transferred to my local office and I told him I applied for the N-400  and have not heard anything since my biometrics.

He then told me that my case was at the National Benefits Center (didn’t know that since my case status said local office) and that I should be getting an interview letter within 30 - 60 days based on the processing times on the USCIS website. He reminded me that they are going in order by which it was received and that it takes up to 24 months for the I751 to be processed. My case number starts with EAC173150XXXX and I filed at VSC. I don’t know if this is good news or not but I’m just ready for this to be done.

Hope this helps any filer still waiting.

I'm on the same boat. I filed i 751 on 12/7/2017 and n 400 on 12/8/2018. I called to request the infopass to know more about my case and was told the same thing that my i 751 was transferred to NBC on 1/6/2019. I know N400 is also processed at NBC but not sure if I'm getting combo interview. Since online status only shows case was received at local office on April 2018. There has been no update at all if I didn't call USCIS..

Did you speak to tier 2? I called today and it was pretty pointless. They just read what was on the tracker, but I received notifications  saying it has been updated yesterday so I wonder if the tier 2 can see more..

Checked online for my husband sat. 2/16/2019 new green card being produced. I had received a RFE in December. I sent in a huge stack of letters, and documents they asked for Feb 4. Thank God. Finally

Here is my timeline,  I applied for I751 in Agust 2017 and N-400 in October (CSC). I received a letter stating that my status is valid 18 months after the expiration date.  In December I received a letter stating that NBC has jurisdiction over my case.

1) Should I get my I661 stamp right now or wait till May when status actually expires? 2)  what's wait time for this kind of situation.

In the same boat as you. I'm going to get a stamp about one month before the extension expires.
