Hi Vermont filiers- Any update on your I-751?

Nope.. No changes except on November 28, they transferred my case to my local office. That's only on DHS website, on USCIS it still has the old date on the transfer. Guess, they're playing hot potato with my case.. 🙄

Filed for N-400 Online as well, not sure when I'd get any updates on either case.. With the indefinite government shutdown looming over our heads I see another extension letter in the foreseeable future.. 😐

hello fellow travelers,  i just want to ask if any of you traveled outside the use while waiting for the 10 year green card . i have my expired 2 year and the extension for 18 months but i am a little worried.

There’s nothing to worry about in as much as you have a valid extension letter or i-551 stamp with the expired green card.

I’ve traveled with it 3 different times and came back through  different airports without any issues. ✌️

Yes - I have in October. It wasn’t an issue whatsoever. The officers are very much aware that the process is taking longer, and they seemed very familiar with the paper.

I only ask, because I had delays in processing my H1B in 2013. USCIS was ok but Dept of Labor didn't get my paperwork to USCIS in time before the shutdown.. So I was wondering if that scenario would repeat itself again in 2018 with the FBI?

I travel about once a month internationally and have had at least a dozen trips on my expired GC and about half a dozen trips on my 18-month extension letter. I usually travel to Asia and have had 0 problems either during check-in and/or at CBP. I also have Global Entry (which is useless till I get my 10 year GC or become a USC). I have also been to EU, Caribbean and Canada with my expired GC. No worries about traveling with an expired GC, just annoying because you need to have all documents with you while you travel instead of just a small card. Don't worry, just focus on enjoying your trip! 😃

Yes, the FBI is a part of DOJ, and its non-essential work has halted due to the shutdown. Don't know if that impacts the ROC process though.
