He said I  MIGHT be eligible under 3 year rule but first he needs  to figure out why ROC is taking so long.

Then I asked him how long has he been practicing and then he said I do mostly real estate.  And I figured out that he is NOT the right person to talk to. Actually someone referred him to me and that is why I called him. But he is a joke .

You have your answer. You are eligible! 🙂 Take the opportunity while you can. And I always say you should Google not for profit organizations that help fill out the applications. They usually have your best intentions.

Sometimes they email me 2-3 days in a row reaffirming there’s still no change, 😂

They have too much time on their hands. Just cut to the chase and produce that card already 😂

Times are changing so are the wait times and we have no control over that.

Not entirely, those of us such as myself who are US citizens may vote. These wait times are entirely discretionary. I-751 wait time was what, 6 months under the previous admin.

Yup, sometimes they were even as low as 4 months if the right conditions were met (fast service center + straight forward case + no RFE + interview waived)

You are right, those of you who can vote should vote. 🙂 If you think your vote won't matter, it matters.

Not too long ago, Citizenship in NY took 4 months. Now its at least 11. We just have to bang on this 'door' harder until they let us in 😂

Red tape beaucracy can hardly be equated with politics. Everyone waits just the nature of the beast.

As for quicker approvals in the past administration one can argue there was a prime motivation for doing so at the expense of doing it right.

No one likes to wait, but when you go through the legal immigration process this is what you prepare yourself for.

The way I look at it - this will all be a distant memory in the next year or so then we will not have to deal with USCIS ever again. ☺️

Anyone else eventually get the official I-797 18 month extension letter? I submitted a "non delivery of notice" stating we only got the courtesy copy (non water marked) and they responded yesterday with the following..."U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) sent you a notice of receipt for the Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (Form I-751) that you filed.  Recently, you informed USCIS that you did not receive that receipt notice.  Per your request, we have mailed a duplicate receipt notice to the address provided with this inquiry.  Please confirm your current address with your local United States Postal Service office and follow the instructions on the notice."

I hope we're not getting a copy of the original I-751 receipt...I was clear in my request to them saying we needed the official 18 month extension notice.
