I'm not sure of the others, but RapidVisa is not a scam and a number of people here have used it.

I personally don't think it's necessary...they're just copying the information that you would have to collect and enter anyway. They cannot speed up the process. The guides here on VJ are sufficient: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide. But they (RapidVisa) aren't known to take your money and not complete the paperwork or something like that.

I used Rapid Visa only because I wanted a second set of eyes looking at my application.  They did have comments and I made corrections and additions.  I know I could have done this without them but if they save me an RFE it is well worth it.  I did file before I found this site so I wonder if I would do it the same if I had to file now.

I believe Rapidvisa was in the $300 to $400 range.  They also collect the USCIS fee which is included in the package when it gets sent.  Maybe a little pricey but still better than delays due to RFEs.  $5000 is ridiculous especially when you start adding up all the fees that are required.  This is not a cheap endeavor.  The costs add up quickly.

Yeah it's about that honestly. When I was on vacation from Afghanistan I wanted to get a quote from a Immigration Lawyer about what her fee was to do a K1 visa for my now wife. She flat out told me $3k was her fee and it could go up depending on the circumstances. I was OMFG and went with Deanvisa.

If all you need is "an extra set of eyes" then I would advice to use the eyes of visajourney as they are just as good and also for free.

While I'm not promoting their services in any way, I do think it's nice that rapidvisa accepts smaller monthly payments for people who may not be able to pay everything up front but don't want to delay filing.

We use RapidVisa as well. Well, it was my fiance( the petitioner) who decided to use it tho. And yes thats correct, they just tell you what to do, and reviews it. Theyll give advice if they find out that something is lacking. They give assistance all throughout the process. My fiance paid 1050 dollars, to them including the USCIS fee. Honestly, we should have done it by ourselves. I regret finding VisaJourney too late.

I also used a consultant to handle my K1.  Worth every penny IMO.  When it comes to filing the petition, all you can think about is doing it FAST, because the sooner you get it in, the sooner you can be with your loved one.  It's the months waiting afterwards that you actually have the time to learn the in's and out's about the process.  If I'd had 4 months to spend reading VJ FIRST before filing, then yes I probably wouldn't have needed a consultant.  But that's hindsight for you.  If you'd asked me back when we started this process if I wanted to wait 4-5 months to file just so I could learn everything I know now.. I would have said you're crazy lol.  I still consider it money very well spent, because I used someone who has done this numerous times in the past, and knows the system inside and out.  They'll also be helping us with our AOS.
