Hello all, first time poster and long-time lurker. In light of this, do you think it will really slow down processing of K1 visas? My fiancee is Russian, we are waiting on our NOA2, and this whole thing is just depressing and worrying :-(  the changes are to take effect September 1st.

“Over 1,000 employees — diplomats and technical workers — worked and continue to work today in Russia; 755 will have to stop this activity,” he said. - Putin

"According to the U.S. State Department website, there is an embassy in Moscow and there are consulates in St. Petersburg, Vladivostok and Yekaterinburg. Some of the staff would be Russian nationals.

A State Department official told POLITICO, “The Russian government has demanded the U.S. Mission to Russia limit total mission staffing to 455 employees by September 1. This is a regrettable and uncalled-for act. We are assessing the impact of such a limitation and how we will respond to it. We have no further comment at this time.”"

I think issuance of NOA2, RFE and denial will go on without any issues at the USCIS stage. However, these changes/sanctions might severely impact visa processing as a whole at the embassy stage :( Your fiancee will get her visa, just way later than her fellow counterparts around the world.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.
